After made a Hive Price Ticker (Check my last post to see the first tutorial), it's time to add some good parts to use it.
The Case
I want to see the price, but I also want to protect my small price ticker! I can't find a good case for it. but I have a 3D printer!
I'm not really good to create 3D model for that. But Thingiverse is full of very good models and I found something great for that. after a small search (just typed "TTGO"), I found my case !
The model is made by Vlastimil Menšík on Thingiverse.
Just download It and print the 2 needed parts (take the big if you want to add the battery). I've printed these in medium quality, 10% infill with my Creality Ender 3 pro.
The result is really good and the TTGo fit perfectly in this case. It's really nice!
But I need to add something to show this thing to my friends : a Battery !
The battery
If I can see the price when I want (near my WiFi), I can! Just choose a small 3.7V batery with 2-pins JST-GH connector (or take one connector and solder a battery on it).
With my small 280mAh battery, The price will be displayed for 5 hours minimum. You don't need any charge controller, because it's built-in. Just plug the USB-C on the TTGo display, and the battery will be in chage.
Please be careful: Some batteries are low quality and can inflate or burn! Don't buy battery if you don't know the seller/vendor.
What's next?
You know what? I don't know what to do with that! What new feature do you want? Just tell me what you want/need in the comments!
You can also contribute to the code directly with this GitHub repo (just fork and ask a pull-request).
If you like this project, don't forget to up-vote and reblog this post.
Have a nice day!
The photos was made a long time ago... Don't be afraid of the price ;)
