The Ransomware

Good morning, have all community, today I want to talk about another type of virus, so dangerous that could damage so to speak every file on our computer and that includes all connected storage devices.

(The RANSOMWARE) or Rescue software, began to be known in the year 2010 but went viral in 2013, no better said, several companies even computer security companies reported attacks on their servers and computers in the years 2013.

Several antivirus companies reported a RAMSONWARE amount of at least 200 thousand different types of Ransomware viruses.

How does Ransomware work?

I will tell you about a personal case, which happened to me on my computer It all started with downloading a free program called "ROUTERVIRTUAL" a program to convert a WIFI network antenna, into an internet sender, I have a post about that, by giving a simple clip on the iconic.

I was giving clip to a button that downloaded a seemingly harmless file, in fact it may be in a RAR file that when unzipped leaves the Ransomware virus free.

Being in our computer, but not immediately begin to encrypt our files type BIN, EXE, RAR, ZIP, Word, POWER POIND, EXEL, MP4, MP3 and many others, I must emphasize that the Ranzomware I have seen does not directly affect the operation of the computer, because the real intention of the virus is that you read a file in a notebook where they ask for a ransom of your data, if you want to recover cancel "X" amount of money.

From my own experience I know that the virus is quite problematic because it spreads to all the hard disks and partitions you have on your computer.

What is encryption?

It is the alteration of algorithms in the data that allows you to make a file unreadable, leaving a key that allows decryption.

In Ransomware only the person who left the virus on the web has the password, which makes it very little possible to decrypt it since we are talking about encryption type computer security.

Recommendations:
