Controlling Content with Blockchain Technology

Blockchain technologies are showing up abundantly and within all genres. Within the field of education, we can see the rise of blockchain through applications that verify certifications, verify transcripts and ledger for payments. These applications focus on the verification of skills but what it does not cover how the content is distributed.

Utilizing blockchain technologies in the classroom looks different. Programs have been created to create a more gamified and personalized learning for students in order to guide them to have a deeper and transformative understanding. In this the use of blockchain technology to redirect distribution of content from a centralized control, the company Dtube, has taken the league.

Dtube or Decentralized Tube is a YouTube-like video platform that is built as an application with the use of blockchain algorithm. The website allows for users to post videos and be rewarded for creating and uploading content.

In the classroom, educators spend less time looking for appropriate videos and content to share with lesson and more time encouraging students to be active in their educational journey. Not only are educators freed of time, but students are able to find content that is more relatable to the lesson while even being rewarded for creating additional content.

Dtube is one of the many blockchain applications that are changing the way that we learn, listen and grow.
