Velvet Parachute Fungi | Mushroom Walks

Here are some of the velvet parachute mushroom (Marasmius elegans) photos that were taken by me yesterday. I found these mushrooms in the courtyard of the local history museum complex in Lhokseumawe city.

The mushrooms grow in clusters between the gaps in the grass and dry fallen leaves. It has a reddish-brown cap; the stem is about 3–4 cm long, but it looks quite tall and slender.

When I first saw them, I almost thought they were sprouts. But is it possible for sprouts to have reddish-brown shoots?

Thank you, dear. Despite the dim color filters, I think it suits them well. 😁
