Look at how cute this little jumping spider is!

Look at how cute this little jumping spider is! It leaped quickly onto the fingers of my left hand, without any hesitation in the least. Is it possible that the 'jumper' did it on purpose to challenge me? I thought to myself at that moment, "How bold of you!"

I believe this jumping spider is Phintelloides jesudasi sp. The arachnologists (Caleb & Mathai, 2014) who first described the species related it to locations in southern India and Sri Lanka. (Source)

Meanwhile, I found it in North Aceh, Sumatra—Indonesia's westernmost island, thousands of kilometers away from India and Sri Lanka. Indonesia, on the other hand, is similar to South India and Sri Lanka in terms of climate and geography.
