(No Remote) How to set up ANKA Interconnected Wireless Smoke Alarm
In this video you will learn how to connect together ANKA wireless smoke alarms so that if one goes off, they all go off. This tutorial will assume that you don't have a remote. The remote is not compulsory - it is basically only used to test the alarm, which you can just use the button on the alarm itself. These alarms can be purchased without a remote as each alarm comes in a separate box on its own, without a remote. If you do buy a remote it will come separately. If I went back in time I probably would not have bought the remote, but in my case they did come in a package which works out to be cheaper (Ebay link provided later).
Unfortunately, if you do have a remote, this process to connect them is totally different. Therefore, I decided to make a video without the remote, for people who choose not to buy or use the remote, and then in the next video I will show you how to connect them with a remote.
Some info on where I got these alarms (note: this is an ebay listing so the link may stop working at any time, but the seller should still be on there):
