Severe heavy rain in southern Japan triggered flooding and mudslides yesterday. More than a dozen people are presumed dead, about 10 missing and many stranded on rooftops waiting to be rescued. More than 75,000 residents in the prefectures of Kumamoto and Kagoshima were urged to evacuate following the incredibly heavy rains overnight. The evacuation was not mandatory and it still not known how many actually fled.

Meanwhile, we have sunshine and hazy mostly blue sky today in Southern Spain with 31 Centigrade and 50% humidity. Wind: 16 KPH SE. How are conditions on your part of the planet? Comment below, including your location. It is always great to hear the local perspectives from our global community.
