Different perspective of "Futurism Architecture"!

POST 1.jpg

Will future be like this?

Futurism style of architecture is not confined to particular set of rules or styles set by some architect or visionaries. It totally depends upon one's own perspective, Isn't It?

It feels good to be back on track after a long hazel. I thought of bringing a very vibrant subject into little light today, The other day debating about futurism with my friends, gathered very constructive points of views which may be exciting to discuss here.

Wakanda

Wakanda

If you haven't watched legendary black panther and could not understand what is above picture all about that's completely okay! I'll provide a brief. We all know how Architecture got it's fair share of space in cinema and how it is well appreciated. Wakanda is actually a fictional country created just for the movie.
The perspective of futurism is well depicted here, Technologically advanced but culturally rich as well, carrying foreword both the strands the production designer Hannah Beachler won Oscar! Creating futuristic volumes with references to the natural habitat.

The architecture wasn't just confined to glass and steel unlike modern skyscrapers, but the structures came in various shapes withy variety of materials touching cultural aspects. From tall to small each sizes got it's space here. One could easily figure out that it wasn't some alien nation like impossible structures, but It was human, the culture , the presence of human, nature is well orientated in the structures.

This is futuro pod, which was deigned back in 1970s by architect Matti Suuronen. They basically are prefabricated and resembles the shape of UFO or flying soccer, also their entrance is somehow line a plane's entrance which makes its much interesting.
These pods are very efficient as they could be dismantled on site and assembled again easily as they are bolted. Also they could fit into any topography be it mountain contour or flat concrete. moreover they were made up of plastics.
They were mostly demolished and not financed by banks I am not aware of the reason why but they were not widely accepted by people.

It isn't an example of deconstructivism but a futuristic structure. This is an astronomical observatory and museum consisting of 4 floors designed by Taka where people can visit and have a look at the irregularly shaped structure and starry sky ofcourse as it is an observatory.
This is a very bold attempt as many must not like the structure but some would. but still this stands till day and is very well maintained. moreover the air here is very clean and one could enjoy the nature and the man made structure at the same time. It is situated in Osumi Peninsula in Japan.

It's actually a memorial complex and is situated in Kruševo, North Macedonia. It's quite weird in shape but since it's a memorial so highly respected.
It's wide spread monument across 5 hectares of space and as observed through the picture it is a round shaped with oval windows which are protruding and are made of stained glass. Inside resides the tomb of former president of Kruševo Republic.
There are plateau and crypt with names and important events carved on it.
This structure represents the struggle, winning and history of the people of that place.

Crux
The zest is that different Architects and group of designers envisioned futurism in their own way and is vividly depicted in their structures. The point that futurism isn't subjective to single perspective is what I wanted to prove. unlike modernism, Neo-classical etc .
Now it's the era we are living in where some great Architect is about to set the rules and guidelines and rest of them may follow and do little changes. History repeats itself! This might be a good thing or not that completely depends on one's perspective similar to the way that some likes working for some institutes and some likes working for themselves. It's all in the perspective which makes one satisfied in life.
As far as I am concerned I really liked the Wakanda's concept, I know it's fictional but someday in future it might come to life, who knows? Which design and perspective you find yourself inclined towards?

These are fascinating futuristic works and it's beguiling to think about how these designers conceptualized them.

Speaking of futuristic films, it must be fun as well to create architectural set designs or designing stage sets for movies. That's another specialized field.

Futuristic architecture will constantly be an interesting topic to discuss as this would involve our direct evolution as a species in relation to our built environments in the years to come. As new technologies, innovations, and scientific advancements are increasing at an astonishing rate, our buildings, dwellings, and habitable spaces also need to benefit from these valuable breakthroughs. If you had the opportunity to build your personal future house today, what architectural elements and design features would you like it to incorporate @praditya?

Hello @storiesoferni :)
That's a very interesting question though. I would like to build it in some organic shape including angles and curves in façade, making use of concrete, glass and bamboo to create some interesting pattern through materials. Black colour being my favourite, the interiors would have have an extraordinary look with black. Oh I can visualise so many more stuff. Let me make a 3d render of this in spare time during weekend, It would be so much fun!
Thanks for such a wonderful comment and support:)

Perhaps you can publish a separate post entitled "My Futuristic Abode", showcasing all your design tastes and selections in your customized renderings. I think that would be awesome @praditya!
