Buenos días comunidad. Reitero mi agradecimiento por el premio que la comunidad me otorgó en el pasado concurso "Experiencing Architecture". Espero poder participar en el nuevo concurso "Living in a Material World."

Ante de ingresar al concurso quiero publicar este post con la sana intención de visibilizar uno de los graves problemas que presentan muchas zonas urbanas: urbanizaciones y lugares poblados de la ciudad, pueblos, calles y avenidas el cual genera inconvenientes a las personas y hasta a las construcciones en los períodos de lluvia. Se trata de los drenajes tapados por el exceso de basura y acumulación de materiales de desechos en las rejillas como: raíces, follajes, ramas, tierra o cualquier otro material que impida el paso de agua. La falta de mantenimiento de los drenajes se ve por todas partes causando empozamiento e inundaciones.

Before entering the competition I want to publish this post with the healthy intention of making visible one of the serious problems presented by many urban areas: urbanizations and populated places of the city, towns, streets and avenues which generates inconvenience to people and even to constructions in rainy periods. These drains are covered by excess garbage and accumulation of waste materials in the grids such as: roots, foliage, branches, soil or any other material that prevents water from passing through. The lack of maintenance of the drains is seen everywhere causing flooding.

Está ubicada en la calle principal de Nueva Casarapa, Guarenas, exactamente al frente del Colegio Comunitario San Nicolás de Bari. La calle tiene dos pendientes (inclinación) que pueden ver en las dos fotografías siguientes, cuando llueve se hace una gran laguna que impide el paso de vehículos y peatones, además, genera incomodidad en los estudiantes, representantes y maestros de la Institución Educativa.}

That is very cool that in almost every picture you sit and point out the drain. But the clogging is not cool at all. that is the major issue not only there but here as well. this is the reason why a little extra rain turns the roads into swimming pools. Maintenance should be utmost priority.
That is so nice of you to pin point such a problem as I said earlier, you have keen eyes for such things , being observant helps a lot in life.

Drainage and sewer systems are one of the major urban elements that need proper maintenance. Your photos clearly highlight the consequences if these particular areas are not attended to. It takes the full cooperation of both the government agencies and the private citizens to fix those escalating problems for a more habitable and environmentally-friendly neighborhood. Hello @storiesoferne. Good morning. Thank you for your review. Yesterday, after my wife and I took the photographs there was a meeting with the General Meeting of one of the Condos, in this case the Alambique Residential Ensemble Board, there I showed her the photographs and talked about the problem with the sound intention of asking the municipal authorities to address the problem before the rainy period. It turns out that Urbanización Nueva Casarapa, before passing into the hands of the Municipality was private and therefore there was always good maintenance of all areas, but now it is neglected. Unfortunately, the neglect of all common areas influences political causes. Our quality of life has worsened, it has fallen noticeably. In previous posts related to tree roots damaging sidewalks, streets and buildings; as well as the lack of pruning that affects the electrical laying I try to make visible the many problems. Ayer, después que mi esposa y yo tomamos las fotografías hubo una reunión con la Junta General de uno de los Condominios, en este caso la Junta del Conjunto Residencial del Alambique, allí le mostré las fotografía y hablamos del problema con la sana intención de solicitar a las autoridades municipales que se aboquen al problema antes del período de lluvia. Resulta que Urbanización Nueva Casarapa, antes de pasar a manos del Municipio era privada y por lo tanto siempre hubo un buen mantenimiento de todas las áreas, pero ahora está descuidada. Lamentablemente en el descuido de todas las áreas comunes influyen las causas políticas. Nuestra calidad de vida ha empeorado, ha decaído notablemente. En los post anteriores relacionados con las raíces de los árboles dañando las aceras, calles y edificios; así como la falta de poda que afecta el tendido eléctrico trato de visibilizar los muchos problemas. Consistent cleaning and maintenance are required just like what Erne said. It is often a challenge to do that unless the local government and the community are working together to ensure resources, budget allocation, and manpower are provided to make this happen. Great post as always.

Good morning. Hello. As I mentioned in my previous comment this Urbanization was private now passed into the hands of the Municipality and from that moment our quality of life began to decay, the common areas are abandoned, dirty, neglected in such a way that now everything looks worse than before. The whole cause of this evil is political. I say this because the neighbors make a great effort to keep our sets beautiful but on the outside side, what belongs to the Mayor does not serve him, such is the case of drains. At the meeting we agreed to pass letters to the competent authorities to address the problems that are their responsibility. Thank you for your review. Happy day and infinite blessings. Como mencioné en mi comentario anterior esta Urbanización fue privada ahora pasó a manos del Municipio y desde ese momento nuestra calidad de vida comenzó a decaer, las áreas comunes están abandonadas, sucias, descuidadas de tal manera que ahora todo se ve peor que antes. Toda la causa de este mal es política. Digo esto porque los vecinos hacemos un gran esfuerzo por mantener bonito nuestros conjuntos pero del lado de afuera, lo que le corresponde al Alcalde no lo atienden, tal es el caso de los drenajes. En reunión acordamos pasar cartas a las autoridades competentes para que atiendan los problemas que a ellos les compete. Gracias por su comentario. Feliz día e infinitas bendiciones.
