Ecological architecture and its importance for future generations / Arquitectura ecológica y su importancia para las futuras generaciones

Hello architecture and design community, today I come with a very important post for the world regardless of the country where you live. It is true that humanity is currently preparing to colonize Mars and I think there are multiple reasons for this, but without a doubt in the medium term I do not believe that even half of the people on our planet have the ability to emigrate to the red planet, therefore We must know and take into consideration the following information: The Construction area is responsible for consuming 50% of the natural resources, 40% of the energy and 50% of the total waste generated. In addition to extracting natural resources from the planet not always in a sustainable way, generating architectures with great energy consumption, expanding cities and destroying forests, having created the city for the vehicle generating large amounts of pollution for the atmosphere, among others ... Now, we need dig a little deeper so let's get started!

Human civilization has a great challenge for current and future generations,

the way human life develops grows rapidly, demographically it is
unsustainable, concrete cities require increasing energy demand
generating exploitation of natural resources, greater extension of land for livestock and
agriculture causing deforestation and destruction of their ecosystems; displacement with
more vehicles that require fossil fuels through extraction
of natural resources, in addition to entertainment activities, electrical services, among
others; losing more and more the balance that formerly existed between man and
nature generating as a consequence climate change.
In North America, Europe, and Japan, more than 90 percent of the population is
aware of climate change, contrary to many developing countries, where
relatively few individuals are aware of the problem and its consequences although
some report noticing changes in the weather patterns of their locality. Level is highlighted
educational of the people, which appears as one of the determinants in the
awareness to understand and accept the increase in temperature on the planet, despite
Other indications such as political influence also appear. In addition to what was said
previously, a large part of the cultures in the world and third world countries prefer
continue with their lifestyle, typical traditions, ignoring these problems and leaving
blindly to their rulers to solve it, as it turns out they too end up
being passive in the face of climate change, this mistake is becoming noticeable and before it is
Later societies, as individuals, must rethink in restructuring everything that this way
harmful life is being for the planet and ourselves.

In this context it can be mentioned that in Venezuela, the country where I come from, there is passive knowledge

on the subject, in addition to having a problem in the loss of environmental culture and that degree
sensitivity that should be had with our natural environment. Although in the levels
basic education is known on the subject, the absence of support for
social and interest in the scientific, technological, social and ecological area, going even to the extreme
of abandonment.

Solution

By knowing the problem, we have the ability to study it to be able to generate solutions, and it is here when new ideas of urbanism arise, technological innovations in favor of the environment and the points that I will cover here will be on Ecological Architecture and Bioclimatic Architecture and sustainable. I will be brief with these points so as not to make this post endless (maybe later I will make individual posts addressing these issues better), but it is a starting point for you to learn more about these broad solutions. Also, as you will see, I added multiple images of architecture in favor of the environment in this post, taken from the pinterest website to help you understand graphically better.

Ecological Architecture

It emerged in the 60-70s. Use the most sustainable building materials up to a bioclimatic approach, an efficient use of resources or, for example, the achievement of a minimum landscape impact. This concept includes sustainable architecture, bio-construction, green architecture and friendly to the natural environment.

Bioclimatic architecture

It is the one that focuses on the design and construction using the climatic conditions of the region or country in which it is being built, takes advantage of available natural resources (sun, vegetation, rain, wind) to reduce as much as possible the environmental impact generated by the construction and energy consumption. It also uses materials from the region, in a way that reduces prices and pollution due to the transfer. In the images you will see multiple techniques that are used in this, such as cross ventilation, use vegetation to cool the internal microclimates, orient the implementation of the construction in such a way that it is analyzed which are the most unfavorable incidences of the sun and which environments should be more protected. interiors, among others ...

Sustainable architecture

This architecture's idea is to use only environmentally friendly techniques and materials during the construction process, take into account the site conditions, incorporating them into the design whenever possible, and seek to minimize the negative impact of buildings through consumption. energy efficient and space development. A respectful balance between architecture, resources and the environment.

This small image blew my head, it is very functional and I think it is something that many people use, I will use it as an idea from now on, also, it forces maybe 50cm to go up the ceilings which would make an environment less hot, they are all pluses, I loved it.
