RE: Why aren't all the elderly accepting of new technology?

Primarily, older people refrained from technology due to personally held values about technology, wider concerns regarding its impact on society. For some older adults, it was the fear of getting things wrong when using software that held them back which u stated earlier in ur post but I don't think this should refrain them from using technology...
