New gaming PC - I can run higher quality screenshots in my posts and Unreal Engine 5 will run so well!

What the new gaming PC is like, what it will bring and some screenshots of the new graphics

After I was attempting to run a disc check on my old PC with a 2TB hard drive and a lot of files, it froze I had to close it and then corrupted a heap of files and made the hard drive and SSD run a lot worse, oops!!!

I was able to have enough to pay a gaming PC off over 4 payments and even though it is in the lower end of what is available, compared to my old PC it is a huge upgrade and it handles games really well and on really good quality graphics.

Below I will provide the specifications on what is inside the PC currently with the only thing to be upgraded at this point is more RAM so it's even more awesome. Then I will talk about gaming on it with some screenshots to share of the updated graphics and if it is worth the price in my opinion.

The specifications are as below with 64GB of this same type of RAM coming tomorrow to boost it further:

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with Wraith Stealth
  • ASUS Prime B550M-K Motherboard
  • ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4060 Twin Edge OC 8GB
  • Team T-Force Delta RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 3600MHz CL18 DDR4 Black
  • Team Cardea Z44L M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 1TB
  • Super Flower Leadex III Gold 650W Power Supply
  • Kolink Inspire K12 ARGB Tempered Glass Case
  • Windows 11 Home

You can find the build here

Here is the RAM (memory) that is coming tomorrow and will be put into the PC as soon as I finish working for the day. This boost will best be seen with video rendering and while using Unreal Engine 5, along with the new PC in general providing better quality game development as I re-learn it once more.

Gaming feels so good

Every game I play will see me turn the graphics up as high as I can get them before I test how well it runs and seeing if I need to drop any settings down a little, but there will likely be some games needing tweaking on some settings and one of those is Fallout 4 with mods, the main game I had to ensure I had going to keep providing the weekly post for my survival series.

The only tweak which is an issue with the game on ultra is turning shadow quality down one notch to high, also keeping weapon debris unticked which is a common thing that can cause crashes. The shadow quality dropped to high meant I wasn't having any crashes or back to the menu. But the look of the game including some mods for enhanced textures.. it is so nice and runs smooth!

Another game I have been playing is the Dying Light Enhanced Edition as I have never been able to run the game.

This was also cranked up in the graphics quality and just like Fallout 4, it runs so beautifully and unlike the GPU fan speed on my old PC, I am no longer worrying about the temperatures while gaming and can just enjoy playing.

Be prepared to soon start seeing my posts show some much better looking screenshots overall throughout the whole post, plus eventually some new games or a variety of others I haven't played but are sitting in my library, I just cannot download too many due to storage space and I don't want to overload it right now and have no/low free space.

Unreal Engine 5

Now I previously had issues with Unreal Engine 5 and 4 on the old PC as it would heat up a lot more, needing the quality down and real-time (showing things move in the viewport when you make things without the game running) but now I only get into the 60 degree celcius range while real-time and high/ultra graphics settings are going.

The 64GB of RAM will mean that when I have to render things as I am making it, the speed will drastically increase so I don't have to sit around. It will be nice to cruise through seeing things come alive as I add more and more, having fun while I do it.

Is it worth the price?

For $1399 AUD which is on sale and down from the usual $1599 AUD and considering I thought a lower end current market gaming PC that you can buy, wouldn't perform so well.. I am very happy with the purchase and feel like it is well worth the price, especially if you cannot afford something in the $2000 - $3000 range.

Now this is my opinion from only having it for about 4 days after having something a lot less powerful. But with sporting a 4060 over a 3060 and it being able to run games at a great quality with good FPS and not crashing, I know I am set for awhile and would definitely recommend it as an option if you need to save for something better in say a year later but need something new now or soon.

its always nice a new pc :) i got right now a amd 2600 with 32 gb ram and a 6600 radeon, and a b450m msi mortar platinum motherboard.

The last upgrade was the GPU from a rx580 to the r6600.

And this year i will buy a new pc, so this one goes as streaming server.

Nice that sounds decent as well.
One of the PCs that was about $500 more had an RX7800 I think it was which is meant to be better than the 4060.

Hopefully when you get your new one you enjoy it lots!

Damn! It's time for some insane-quality gameplay and content. 🔥

I definitely know the feeling of getting a new PC. My previous, and first gaming PC is close to 9 years old, I remember how hyped I was once I got it. The new PC I have now, I got it just over a year ago, and I'm still in love with it; it's helped me create some great content.

I bet you'll be spending most of your days in front of your PC now haha.

Cheers, man! Looking forward to all the new content.

You definitely know I feel right now then mate haha, so excited!
Glad you still love your new one and even after a year they can go hard.

Oh don't worry, I will always be in front of my PC between gaming and blogging plus everything else.

Cheers for stopping by! 😁

Oh don't worry, I will always be in front of my PC between gaming and blogging plus everything else.

I used to spend a lot of time in front of my PC every day, especially during COVID. These days I'm mostly busy with work, not a lot of blogging or gaming. I say it's needed, a bit of balance.
