TCS moved its employees to work from home mode while the lockdown, ninety percent of the employees from all over the world worked from their place through an operating model called Secure Borderless WorkSpaces (SBWS).

SBWS had seen 35,000 meetings, 406000 calls, and 340 lakh messages across TCS on the digital collaboration platform.TCS has invested in creating SBWS over the past few years. "We have come out stronger and our model is more proven than ever before," TCS's CEO and MD Rajesh Gopinathan said.

When the employees are from home then the need for the office space is less. The reduction in the number of employees in the office reflects favorable cost-effective and productive events. This SBWS mode makes some great impact on commute and traffic too.

it is not just about productivity and work-life balance for employees but decentralizing work also has several organizational benefits. He said, "It helps organizations become more resilient because the fully distributed nature of this model is inherently less risky and better suited for business continuity and agility."

The highly centralized model of work from the large campuses with thousands of employees is going to be switched to distributed work and workforce mode soon. The company is concerned about cybersecurity, project management, proper work allocation, monitoring, and reporting to bring out quality projects in a secure way, there won't be any compromise, the company has strong plans about it.
