Introduction

Greetings my dear readers, we continue pointing out the essential influence of each technological advance in our lives, important characteristic as we have expressed thanks to the contributions of all the scientific field towards this area of technology, and thus we continue highlighting the principle, where, technology is nothing more than applied science, and this we have been able to demonstrate in each one of the previous articles.

Many are the benefits that have given us the invention of optical instruments like the compound microscope, that is why we have been highlighting the treatment of light through the optical system of that device, since the luminous rays are those that transport the images around us, and as we have expressed with the microscope has been able to deepen the analysis of cells and any type of tissues of objects or living beings on our planet.

As it has been observed, this wonderful optical instrument contains a lot of complexity due to the fact that it is conformed by an important amount of lenses, between convergent and divergent in several places of its structure, therefore, these vital and particular optical components (lenses) conform all the optical system of the compound microscope.

Until now we have analyzed the condenser and the objectives, in this opportunity we will relate in a general way with the eyepiece, and this part of the microscope is near our eyes, therefore, in the highest part of this device, that is to say, in the optical tube, this part of the microscope generates a second image, of course starting from the images of the luminous rays sent by the objective lens.

It is important to emphasize that the formation of the images in this part of the microscope will originate of greater size, virtual, and of course not inverted, in the modern microscopes either with monocular or binocular tube other particular optical elements are used like the prisms fulfilling important functions of refraction of the light rays that transport the images, in our case the eyepiece is constituted by a series of convergent and divergent lenses representing a traditional model of compound microscope.

Conclusion

When arriving at the analysis of the third part of the optical system of the traditional compound microscope, we can notice the great importance that represented the lenses in this device, and with the combination of the same ones it was possible to correct important defects like the chromatic aberrations, where, the color waves have different focal points.

We can say that thanks to this traditional optical component it has been possible to advance towards the most modern optical devices of today, above all with the generation of new materials, and whose principle continues to be the treatment of the luminous rays that transport the micro-images of the specimens to be studied, and in this way be able to know in greater detail any anomaly of a certain object or body.

Until another opportunity my dear and appreciated readers.

In the case of botany, the optical microscope was the most important advance for the histological characterization, since it facilitates to detail the morphology and to relate it to the function of the vegetative segments. Thank you for socializing this type of content.
