RE: Is progress in science and technology a powerful tool for escaping poverty?

I think science and technology has gone a very long way to reducing poverty. If we look at individual countries we can see that over the last 50 years (prior to COVID) there was a reduction of poverty in former colonial nations in Latin America, the Caribbean, and other areas. I think science and technology has a lot to do with this. I think more needs to happen and tools like blockchain can fix that.
