Thanks for this post, it is quite educational and informative. I did not know much about this topic, now I am a little better informed.

A part of me considers that it is an interesting technological advance, that the devices with which I live communicate with each other to facilitate my way of life and make it safer is a good thing, but, another part of me worries about the possible restriction on the decisions that I can make, that is, the freedom to choose an option depends on the availability of the different options, it may happen that by configuration the smart devices restrict or do not consider among the options things that I would do, which does not I could choose it as an option.

It sounds a bit paranoid, I know, but I always have the idea that systems that can help improve our lives can also be used to manipulate and control us.
