A Scientific Invention Used in Space: Hubble Space Technology

The only thing humans knew about the universe and space until four hundred years ago, were the only things human eyes could view, a scientist woke up to the call of finding more about what the space entailed and he made the first telescope that was directed towards heavens by 1610.

Following that awakening, telescope began to undergo different evaluation as they changed in shape, size and even technical structures. Hubble telescope was named after Edwin Hubble who used the largest telescope in the 1920s to discover galaxies beyond the earth.

The Hubble space telescope is a space telescope that was launched into low earth orbit and remains in operation, it was not the first space telescope but it is one of the largest and most versatile, well known both as a vital research tool and as a public relations boon for astronomy.

Since the invention of Hubble telescope in 1990, it has performed over 1.3 million observations, Hubble telescope serves as the most scientific instrument ever manufactured because scientists has used its data in publishing more than 15,000 scientific papers and those papers have been used as a reference point to other papers for about 738,000 times.

A special feature about Hubble telescope is that, it never travels to the star or other galaxies but while moving round around the earth, it takes pictures of the galaxies clearly with a clear vision of 17,000 mph. Hubble has successfully gone round the earth for over 4 billion miles moving in a circular manner.

The telescope does not get affected by the earth’s atmosphere as the earth’s atmosphere usually creates problems to research options. The level of image clarity taken by Hubble telescope is extraordinary, pictures are taken in a great and highly impressive manner.

As greatly described as the Hubble telescope is, it surprisingly comes with its own disadvantages as nothing seem to be perfect, not even machines. So here are the few disadvantages that has been observed so far.
The telescope has been said to be time consuming as it takes so much time before it produces the perfect result we have said so much about.
The maintenance level of the telescope has also been recorded to be highly expensive and also very difficult to repair, if the telescope has any fault, the repair function usually takes lots of time.

Modern researchers also complained about the telescope being an out of date machine, therefore giving unnecessary problems.
