The Evolution of Technology
Technology has become who we are and a part of us. Since the early days of man sharpening stones for equipment, it has become a part of our lives. I cannot imagine a world without technology, it will be boring and not really innovative. Do not mix science with technology, science studies natural things as well as our physical world using hypothesis, systemic experiment, and observation before concluding to a result. Technology is a part of science that deals with craft and this scientific craft has enabled us to do a lot of interesting things from producing goods and innovations. Technology brought easy access to communication, easy transportation and many more.
Technology unlike what we describe it currently was known before the 20th century, it was used to describe the study of practical craft or a technical education. Technology has today become everything about innovation, it has become everything about tools for humans built by humans from written theories in books. Technology has become the enactment of the human imagination on the world.
Technology in Transportation
Technology in transportation started from foot to the use of animals such as Camels and donkeys in the +9000 BC, after which wooden ships were manufactured to help carry luggage across sea to other nations in the +2000 BC. In the 1800 came bicycle then steamship in the Year 1810. In the year 1820, locomotive steam trains were invented after which the first car was invented in 1885. Technology didn’t stop there as innovations followed the car inventions. In 1895, the first internal combustion omnibus was created. Toyota started mass production of cars in the year 1950. In the early 1990, self-driving trains came into existence and tech didn’t stop there as the first hybrid car was produced in 1997. Self-driving cars came after that in 2015 and in 2018 the self-driving trucks were produced and technology doesn’t plan to stop there.
Technology in households
Oil lamp were invented in +9000 BC, then electric stoves in 1859, electric bulb in 1879, electric flat iron and electric fan in 1882, It might look like a new invention but it isn’t as the first air conditioning unit was invented in 1902 after which the first electric washing machine was invented in 1908. In 1910, people started using vacuum cleaner, in 1913 home use refrigerator was invented. Other things that were invented include the blender in 1922, electric razor in 1937 and microwave in 1976. Innovations have been going on as smart appliances are becoming popular.
Technology in building
It is no doubt that technology has been existing since the days of constructing the pyramid of Giza in 2500 BC. In the year 1596, the first flushing toilet was invented. In 1781, people started using iron to cast bridges. In 1818, fire extinguisher was invented. In 1853, the first elevator was built and in 1889, the first water heater tank was invented. In 1896, the first working escalator was built. It goes on to several technological evolutions which includes multi storey car park in 1901, concrete building in 1903, tower crane in 1949. Technology has never stopped its evolution as we see 3D home printing which commenced in 2018.
Technology has kept on growing even in the entertainment and information world, health and medicine, and space.
Would you imagine world without technology?
Technology is created to make works more effective and efficient. Even in worst situation human is a unique creatures that can create new tool to survive.
technology is always present in our lives in fact this same message is written using a technological gadget and a translator. We cannot live without it, and I think we are very close to evolving in terms of transportation, especially the part of vehicles with other types of fuels, I think very soon we will use teleportation, as well as in the supersonic Good post.

I like your post. I've always seen technological advances as extensions of man. The vehicle is an extension of his ability to move. The phone to extend his voice, the computer is an extension of our brain. And soon we'll be traveling to the stars. In the next few years, a space-age will begin as never before, with goals of settling on the moon and then on to Mars.
Science and technology go hand in hand. Who would have believed that the study of bats would give rise to radar?
We may be fragile beings compared to the other species living on the planet, but they gave us the most powerful tool of all.
