Huawei - The Growth, Controversies and Future for the Tech Giant
A lot of never knew China were into a lot of technology and in the mobile industry until we came across Huawei. Huawei has proven to be a tech company that has been able to compete with Samsung and Apple, also it has created a lot of controversies in big nations like the United States as it looked like a threat to home tech giants as well as since the Chinese government has a level of power over companies, they could use it to spy on individuals and this has raised a lot of geopolitical rancor. Huawei product and tech is being used in over 170 countries around the world.
Founded in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei, the company did not start by producing phones, rather it started as a company selling phone accessories and phones produced by other countries in China but around the 1990s, Huawei started making researches on how phones work and to produce a better and cheaper phone to its counterpart. I my country, we know Huawei phones to be extremely cheap compared to phones like Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola and so on.
A lot of people know Huawei for mobile phone production but Huawei do more than that. The company is into telecommunication equipment provision building over 2000 network mast around the world. The company has been able beat Apple when it comes to production but it still looks up to beating Samsung. The company being a major force in the communication and mobile network industry still has it’s a lot of controversies which till hinders international contracts.
Huawei Controversies
A lot of international bodies an government have been against the Chinese tech giant over so many things like being a part of the people’s liberation army which means that the Chinese government has a say in the company but the company says they restructured and do not have any ties with the Chinese government. Also, the company changes CEO every 6 months so the affairs of the company is being handled by different people. If the Chinese government is involved, then people’s data aren’t safe as the Chinese government can demand for the support of any company in the country for investigation. Also, company keeps having access to data of people which could be used to spy on them.
Also, the company has been accused of getting subsidy by the government which isn’t a good plain ground for other companies making it difficult to compete and allowing Huawei become a monopoly.
Can Huawei be the future?
Huawei currently is doing well in terms of 5G network coverage and phone production. The company keeps investing a lot of money in billions into tech research. It will be no surprise if the company starts to move into AI and Robotics in the future. Huawei would be able to conquer other countries if they can gain trust from this countries.

Huawei is really going wild competing with phone tech giants like Samsung and apple. Anyway,I don't trust the Chinese people so those controversies could be true.
