Wide Range Visual Technology and Glacier Melt

The uncontrolled emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), is the main topic of discussion within environmental organizations, this because, according to experts the levels of CO2 that are emitted into the atmosphere as a result of anthropogenic activities, are related to the alarming increases in temperature on a global scale, and whose thermal reaction undoubtedly acts on the melting of glaciers.

From the theoretical point of view, the melting of glaciers (glacier melt) is a phenomenon induced by the climate change that the planet is experiencing, and that in the last decade has been aggravated not only by the CO2 emissions at industrial level, but also by the usual forest fires that occur in the multiple tropical and subtropical eco-regions.

Capturing images of melting glaciers

Faced with this situation of industrial CO2 emissions and uncontrolled fires, many are the awareness initiatives that environmental organizations undertake year after year, in the search to sensitize governments and international institutions about the devastating effects of climate change, in this sense, one of the most innovative initiatives is the one led by the organization Eagle's Wings - Protection of the Alps, since its creation its protectionist strategy aims to set precedents and raise awareness about the effects and severity of global warming, To fulfill their objective, they have incorporated wide range visual technology, placing a camera between their wings, to record and capture in the sequence of flights through video, and images of the Alps, to date it is estimated that they have already flown over part of the territory of Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and France, with these photographic captures try to demonstrate that the glaciers are melting product of the warming that occurs on a planetary scale.

Finally, it is important to note that this noble work of environmental awareness that relies on wide-ranging visual technology, used a GPS satellite locator and a video camera between the wings and neck of an eagle named Victor, and to date have 360 ° images of the Alps.
