Hello once again i hope you all are fine and safe from the coronavirus outbreak . As you know i have decided to give you all information about all the machines in this universe. Regarding this i have given the two parts in which i tell you about the lathe machine and its parts and many more today i am going to tell you about the venturimeter and all about the venturimeter its working and its parts. Hope you will get all information about machines and read my all posts carefully. So lets start

First i am going to tell you what is venturimeter. Venturimeter is a mechanical device which is used for measuring the discharge that is the rate of flow of water or fluid passing through the pipe. In industries it requires to measure the flow of water or fluid through the pipes so that the operation in the machines will run smoothly. Now i will tell you about the parts of venturimeter. Venturimeter has main three parts. One is converging part that means its cross section decreases when we go in forward direction. When the fluid moves through the converging part velocity of the fluid increases while the pressure decreases. The second part of venturimeter is the throat . It is the middle part of the venturemeter. Throat is the small part which has equal dimensions throughout on the top of throat differential monometer is connected which is used measure the pressure of water. After that the third part of the venturemeter is diverging part in which the area of cross section increases. In this part the velocity of the fluid decreases while the pressure increases.

Now i will tell you how we measure the discharge through the venturimeter. We firstly set the mercury equal to on both limbs of differential barometer. After that i operate the moter and send the water through the venturimeter and see the difference levels in the differential barometer and also measure the time to fill the one liter of water in the tanker through which we measure the discharge of the fluid.
