All about machines part-1

Hello everyone I hope you all are fine and safe from the coronavirus outbreak. Today i am going to give a post after a long period of time because i was busy with the studies and my examination. I was giving my third semester examination online recently i complete my examination and now i am free for giving posts on hive and especially my favorite community project hope. Today i decide that from towards i will give information about the machines which are working in lot of industries in the world. Without these machines we can't make any thing . I think every person should have the information about the machines how they are working that are the main parts of different types of machines.

Today i decide to give information about the lathe machine. Lathe machine is one of the old machine used in the industries. Lathe machine is also called as mother of all machines because on lathe machine we can done lot of different operations like Turing, drilling, boring,etc. Lathe is a metal cutting machine. In the lathe machine the single point cutting tool is held at the top of the saddle which moves back and fourth on the guide ways. The work piece is help in the chuck. Three are mainly three jaw chuck and four jaw chuck. The work piece rotates as the chuck rotates. The single point cutting tool is brought close to the work piece and is given the depth of cut. This causes the cutting on the workpiece. The chuck is rotates by the motor which is running on the electricity. Following are some main parts of the lathe machine and their function:

The main part of the lathe machine is bed . The bed is a long and big. The bed on rectangular in shape. The lathe is made strong because it has to hold all the other parts on it. It has also guide ways on which some parts moves back and fourth positions. The bed is made of cast iron.

Another main part of the lathe machine is headstock. The head stock is located at the right side of the bed. In the head stock motor, gears,shafts , spindle and chuck is fixed , these components are used for transfering the power from the moter to the chuck . The work piece is help on the head stock for maching.

Tail stock is one third important component of the lathe machine. The tail stock is located at the left side on the bed. The tail stock moves back and forth on the guide ways. The function of the tail stock is to hold the long work pieces to reduce vibrations of the work piece during operation. Also tail stock hold some tool like drilling tool etc.

One more component in the lathe machine is carriage the function of the carriage is to hold the single point cutting tool at the top. Also the carriage gives movements to the tool. There are few more components in the lathe machine like guide ways , feed rod etc
