TECHNOLOGY, Pros and Cons!!
It is no secret that technology has changed our lives, for some in a positive way for others not so much. For example, communication is a very important issue regarding this new lifestyle, nowadays we can communicate from anywhere in the world through different networks.
We have whatsapp, facebook, instagram, telegram among others, we can send videos, voice notes, photos, do live, in short, the communication in that aspect I feel has improved, because today there are many families who are distant and without that help could not communicate. In that aspect they have displaced another type of communication such as sending letters
On the other hand, yes, it is true that this type of network has made our lives a little easier depending on how we see it, but for many of us it has distanced us from our families very specifically, we spend more time on the phone either watching news, talking on chat, or watching videos, than sharing with our people.
I think that's a downside, many times we're all at home but it's like we're all living in our own world, getting further apart every day.
With regard to education, which I consider to be a key point, both for those who are studying and for those of us who have already graduated, it is important that we are constantly surrounded by information, as new technologies appear every day.
We cannot be displaced by those who are more up-to-date, we must be at the same level if we want to compete in the world of work.
Certainly technology has changed many things with respect to education, we just have to look at the present (ONLINE CLASSES), teachers teach differently, often even more fun. Until recently we had chalkboards in the classrooms, then we moved to acrylics and today we have smart boards, which allow us to reach a lot of information in a short time.
It is much more interactive, using different tools such as power point, projectors, microphones, this allows to reach a larger number of students at the same time. All this has shown a greater concentration and attention from the students.
The internet makes many things easier for us, like information, we can acquire information very easily and as I said before we have come to virtual classes.
On the other hand, it can also serve as a distraction for students, especially children and the fact of being at home makes it difficult to socialize. It is not the same to learn from home than to be able to interact with everyone in your classroom.
I believe that as long as the internet is used in the best way it will be very useful and we will have it as a good learning tool.
On the other hand we have the competitiveness, as, all or most want to be fashionable, and have the latest model phone, the one with the best camera, the largest, the most memory, in short, this has become a vicious circle for some. It hasn't been six months since they've wanted another phone. Technology has definitely made us dependent on these devices.
What the internet and technology has done with our daily life is in a certain way to improve it, because the internet seeks to save us time starting from new technologies, tools, save us efforts, in short, for example, shopping, we can already make purchases from our home and without moving a foot, just with a simple device.
It is true that it facilitates many things to us, but that so much affects that our health for example, the sedentary lifestyle it produces can be very harmful to our bodies. That is why I believe that there must be a balance above all, a balance, we can use technology for certain things that benefit us but we must also continue to do other things that also give us good things, such as going out to do any activity. And so to put our body in motion.
In conclusion, we can say that technology has had both a positive and a negative impact on society, but what we cannot deny is that it is fundamental to our development in this new world. All this has changed our way of thinking and of seeing the world, technological development is important for the development of our society.
