Mosquitoes or mosquitoes in tropical homes

Cities are ecosystems where human beings prevail with their presence, activities and constructions, in addition to selecting the biological diversity that can live in their territory. In this selection, insect controls are established, in the tropics we have among them, the control of mosquitoes.

There are many methods of controlling mosquitoes, but the most sustainable (that do not harm humanity or the environment) should be addressed.

Mosquitoes are winged insects classified within the diptera as they have only two wings (their hind wings atrophied) within the arthropod phylum. Within the diptera are the culicide mosquitoes. It is good to use this first part to loosen the tongue, as a pronunciation exercise.

The term mosquitoes is attributed only to the so-called culicides. The curiosity to know the origin of the word takes us to Italy, since the word "moschetto" is attributed to the Italian language, which is a small spear or arrow, launched by a bow or crossbow.

The diet of the adult male is vegetarian and the adult female, when pregnant, feeds on the blood of birds and mammals.

Their metamorphosis into adults begins when the egg hatches in the water. The place where there is water and which is capable of serving for the development of mosquitoes, is called a breeding ground. The Aedes species only selects clean water in shady places, especially within a home, institution or company.

Sustainable control (that does not harm humanity or the environment) of the mosquito, then we reduce it to not being born in our house or apartment, not being born in our community.

The necessity of the control is because the mosquitoes are source of transmission of infectious diseases, only some species of mosquitoes, in special the Aedes, that serve of transmitters of dengue, zika, chikungunya, fever of Mayaro, yellow fever, equine encephalitis and of other viruses.

Therefore, it is necessary not to let the mosquito population be born, that is, to eliminate the breeding grounds. If they cannot be physically eliminated because they are necessary or impossible to eliminate, we cover them up.

There are two techniques then, the first is to eliminate eliminable hatcheries, the second is to block access to the pregnant mosquito female, so that she cannot lay her eggs in the hatcheries. This second technique involves covering the hatchery, not eliminating it.

Techniques to eliminate or cover mosquito or mosquito breeding grounds eliminate the need for insecticides sprayed, fogged or included in the water. Thus we become more sustainable. But in order to implement these breeding control techniques, we must do health promotion through environmental health education: face-to-face, in formal education, in government institutions, in companies, in communities.

It is enough that in a house or apartment, in an institution or company, you do not have the control of the breeding grounds, to spread a population of mosquitoes to the community where it is located. The mosquitoes can fly in optimal conditions, up to six hundred to eight hundred meters from where you are to look for their food.

Putting a lid on the removable hatcheries rules out the presence of mosquitoes (mosquitoes).

If there are hatcheries, there are mosquitoes. If there are mosquitoes or mosquitoes, there is the possibility of transmission of viral diseases such as dengue, zika, chikungunya, Mayaro fever, yellow fever and equine encephalitis virus and others.

Hello friend, very good explanation, they have always taught us as children that we must take care of our health and that mosquitoes are bad for it. So, as you say, we should implement more promotion and try not to leave breeding grounds in our homes. In my country some of these diseases are very common, I particularly suffered from two of them and the truth was not good.

Mosquitoes are common in the rainy season but not only in the rainy season as many think, thousands of mosquitoes are born in a soft drink cap with water.

Greetings my friend @eliorrios. We would like to have a good control and management of our nurseries since this attracts a lot of mosquitoes that represent danger to our health through them we can attract diseases such as chikungunya, yellow fever, and skin diseases, which are difficult to treat and more at this time.
Greetings friend, thank you for sharing with all of us.

When I was in Mariology we did regular campaigns to fumigate educational institutions, including day care centers, but unfortunately this is not currently being done properly.
