New York overtakes Silicon Valley as the most technological advanced city in the USA

avatar

Years back, Silicon Valley tops the list as the most technologically advanced city in the US and in the world given it is home to the big names in tech.

All the major tech companies own offices in Silicon Valley and if you are a tech company and not in Silicon Valley, then you are not a tech company.

Most founders leave their countries to set up shop in Silicon Valley because it was the "it" city.
But that has changed now as lots and lots of cities are not tapping in the the tech future and are spending billion of dollars to achieve that feat.

Blessed!

New York is estimated to be worth some $23.1 trillion as of April 2018 and this puts it on the list of most advanced cities in the world.

What is in New York?

Good question.
New York is home to Wall Street, the NYSE which is the world’s largest stock exchange and just recently, is home to Amazon's second headquarter.

Apart from these, New York is the city that never sleeps, a concrete jungle and one that holds the dreams of the dreamers and doers who are yet to be identified.

New York and Singapore has some sorts of similarities given it's huge population and high rises.
The city heavily invests in efficiency saving technology which helps and allows the city to run better.
With the rise of air pollution in major cities, New York as an air quality management which heralds smarter and cleaner air technologies.

With future challenges of over population which will lead to shortage of residential areas, unemployment and mass crowding, the city is already taking the initiative to make sure the future is managed.

The city is a bundle of inspiration as everywhere you turn has a story to tell.
No doubt, it is becoming a tech haven and more companies are taking up space and contributing to the future of the world.

For a city worth $23.1 trillion, there is no stopping has it has the potential to turn in much more and even help other emerging cities start taking a leap towards the future of tech.

Make the world a better place for someone today!

I love NYC! I've not been since the first DLive meetup happened before they left the Steem chain and reading this makes me want to make a visit back. It's very impressive the changes the city has made over the last decade though. This would definitely not been the case 10 years ago!

A decade ago, it was still bearing most of the 1940/50s trend but with time, it keeps evolving and now it is at a point where it is a place to beat in terms of technological advancements.

I look forward to being there one of these days because it holds lots of dreams at every corner.

Hi brother @ejemai.

I have always been fascinated by NY. As the city with the greatest ethnic variety, it is considered the gastronomic capital of the world.

There are the headquarters of the most important companies and organizations.

It is an expensive city. Life in NY is not cheap.
An apartment in Manhattan, the most expensive district in New York, had an average cost of $ 1.15 million in 2015. Thus, the price per square meter in Manhattan averaged $ 17,600. Amazing.

Presumably, the technological levels that we can find there are the highest compared to any other city in the world.

This also makes it a target for terrorist organizations. Authorities must invest millions of dollars each year in security. There are almost 9 million inhabitants who should be protected.

Your friend, Juan.

The city has always been a fascination despite how expensive living there is. It is akin to Lagos Nigeria, it affordable everyone who is willing to try an opportunity to make something for themselves.

It is a dreamer's city if you ask me and dreamers are a plenty there.

I will say a country with good leaders who have the interest of the country and it's citizen at heart, can achieve great things, but a country like mine where we are economically blessed but have terrible leaders who are only concerned about their stomach.

Sane leadership is key to getting a good process to work. Not many who call themselves leaders understandwhat it takes to be one.

The people are the government and until they start seeing it as their duty, the unwanted will be the order of the day.

Stay Awesome!
