RE: How long is this COVID-19 situation going to last?

Dear @eliorrios

It surely is a very hot topic. Many people out there seem to believe C19 is nothing but hoax, others are very extreme about it. I'm myself trying to stay safe and avoid panicking.

This pathology has become a public health problem due to its very high contagiousness and incidence and its high mortality rate.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but based on my knowledge mortality rate is very very low. And that's actually one of many reasons why C19 is spreading. Other viruses (like ebola or sars) would kill it's "hosts" very fast and this efficiently stopped spread of those viruses. After all dead people are not dangerous spreaders.

while we wait for specific treatments against Coronavirus and vaccination so that our defenses are those that fight against the entry or establishment of this microorganism in our body

I kind of disagree with that statement. Most people in developed countries seem to be heavily against accepting any vaccine (as long as it's not tested and monitored for few years). Anti-vaxxers movement is growing really strong :/
Not that I support it. I'm just seeking how poorly people react.

I personally believe, that C19 is here to stay with us for many years to come. I wish to be wrong. Oh I really wish to be very wrong....

Yours, Piotr

The consequences of Covid19 are misleading, although certainly the mortality rate is low and the infection rate is increasing, since as you have said, people do not feel threatened and therefore become its transmitters. The problem itself is that the virus promotes other conditions that the person has and these end up dying from them and these deaths are not attributed to it. Certainly the virus is here to stay and hopefully will not end up passing on to us those who invaded the planet in the novel War of the Worlds.
