Greetings friends of the Project Hope community, on this occasion I come to share the analysis of this wonderful book in my eighth installment entitled: "if you are wrong, admit it".

Introduction

It is difficult to admit when we are wrong, however once we learn this great virtue of knowing and accepting to admit our mistakes we will surely see multiple benefits in our lives, one of them is to have a better deal with our fellow man, since it is important to have a degree of respect for the opinions that other people have on some specific topic, even if we do not share opinions it is important that we learn to respect it.

If our objective is to have influence over other people and to gain friends, it is important that we keep in mind not to tell another person that they are wrong, I know that it sounds strange but the truth is never absolute, and it moves in various ways, everything depends on the perspective in which it is analyzed, that is why each one is right in his partial truth, and even though we do not share it, it is simply good that we respect it, therefore it is advisable that we never tell another person that he is not right, because if we do we would be achieving the opposite objectives of adding friends and having influence over others.

Analysis

Say about yourself all the derogatory things you know the other person is thinking, or wants to say, or intends to say, and say them before he has had a chance to formulate them, and you will take away his reason for speaking.

Dale Carnegie's book: How to win friends and influence people

This is a very clever strategy to persuade a conversation to become uncomfortable with another person, if we go ahead and talk about ourselves some negative aspect that we have a feeling the other person is going to tell us, then the other person will no longer feel like telling us anything negative about ourselves, since we ourselves are admitting that negative aspect of ourselves.

Once admitting our mistakes becomes a natural habit, we will be able to observe and evaluate ourselves in which we will feel a degree of satisfaction because if we analyze ourselves from the point of view of being able to admit our own mistakes we would be assuming a degree of courage, since there are few who have the capacity to come to admit their mistakes.

The important thing about this habit is that it helps us to solve the problems obtained by the multiple mistakes we make, or at least that should be one of the secondary objectives.

I close this post by saying:

It doesn't matter what they say about when we admit our mistakes, because if we analyze a little bit our experiences, we rarely find that by fighting we don't get enough to fix an unfavorable situation, however when we give in and admit our mistake in an intelligent way maybe we could get more than we estimate to get.

Hello friend, you are right to admit our mistakes is good, that makes us look like humble people with enough maturity to accept that we also made mistakes. Thank you for sharing it. Thank you!

Thank you for commenting positively on this subject, it is certainly not easy to admit our own mistakes, but the reality is that if we admit it it ends up being a great virtue.

I greet my dear @franyeligonzalez and thank you for commenting

good article, when people make mistakes and assume that mistake they are seen as great human beings but if you are a boss or a leader assuming that you are wrong it weakens your leadership

Good point of view friend, you are absolutely right, maybe the leader can assume the error and improve on it but without showing weaknesses.

Greetings and thanks for your contribution
