Since the beginning of the pandemic, the world health organizations together with the governments of the different countries that make life in the globe have done everything in their power to control this deadly virus that has claimed millions of lives in the world. The arrival or spread of COVID-19 has been accelerated, which is why technology and science are seeking a mechanism to control or eradicate it.

During this time, the media have continuously provided information to the population with news from multiple sources on the evolution of the pandemic, the number of infected people, deaths, as well as the difficulties encountered in obtaining the supplies that contribute to the control of the pandemic and, above all, the consequences that this virus has had on the world economy.

At the same time, studies by research institutes, fed with a multitude of information from webinars on the impact of the pandemic, mainly from the economic and social point of view, are emerging, which merit the discovery and accelerated development of a vaccine that will allow the population to return to normality.

The competition initiated around the world for the discovery of a vaccine or drug to eradicate this pandemic has been slow to bear fruit and only a few of those who have started will be able to reach the goal. Science does not work with short term plans since it is looking for satisfactory results in its research, this will clash with the hopes that the population has in finding a solution to this problem.

This has generated that the administrations of the countries have the need to rethink the importance of the control and development of some indispensable technologies which are considered as critical and strategic, in addition to the pre-existing ones and thus achieve the expected results. Technology has made several contributions to eradicate or control this pandemic, from the creation of intelligent masks that prevent contagion to the creation of different vaccines that have already been produced.

In conclusion, technology is one of the most relevant tools available to researchers to develop drugs and/or vaccines to control this virus and now the effort must be redoubled with the appearance of the new Brazilian strain which, according to reports from the World Health Organization, is much more aggressive and deadly than the previous one.

There is no doubt that the contribution of technology in this pandemic is special, not only in contributing to the medical preventive aspect, but also in supporting online classes, courses and tools to manage the pandemic in the best possible way.
Fortunately we have such advanced technology that has been a great contribution to the life of the man so modified in this year.

Greetings dear professor @carlir

So it is science through technological mechanisms seeks alternatives to control this virus, this of smart masks is something totally new however I believe that its application is reduced to developed and economically solvent countries. Thanks for socializing this type of content.

Be well.

Greetings my friend @lupafilotaxia, Very accurate your comment, unfortunately developed countries are those that economically speaking can develop such technologies to prevent this virus and any other spread, but nevertheless I believe that WHO as the world governing body of health should ensure through its economic funds that most of the technological benefits reach underdeveloped countries.
Thank you for your contribution to this article.

Greetings @raizayanez, thank you for reading this article, as long as we all look for solutions to this problem together as is the COVID-19 without distinction of race, religion or country we can move forward otherwise we will continue submerged in this problem, where everyone only looks after their own interests.
