Labor Polygamy a "Relief" for Venezuelans.

It is no secret that Venezuela is going through an economic crisis that has caused people of all socioeconomic strata and academic levels to make the hard decision to migrate to another country in search of a better quality of life for their families.

According to several Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that operate in Venezuela have reported that the percentage of migration in recent years is located around 70%, indicating that most of that percentage are citizens with university degrees, this drain of intellect that is being generated significantly affects the high level of competitiveness of companies.

Now, Venezuelans who for some reason decided to continue facing this situation here in our country and not to migrate must deal with the day to day to be able to bring sustenance to their homes, this motivated by the fact that the salary they are currently earning does not allow them to cover their basic needs, this situation has forced many to have to find a second job and thus be able to cope with this situation.

This situation where the person has two or more jobs is called Labor Polygamy, this is nothing more than the multiple and/or simultaneous performance of the labor exercise in several companies, where the only vision and mission is the one that only the worker has. This fact of being able to have two or more jobs has become a relief or escape route for many Venezuelans, since receiving several economic incomes helps them to mitigate their economic situation.

This great effort made by Venezuelans to leave a job and run to another job is admirable, but in some cases it is generating health problems due to the stress levels that are maintained daily by so many occupations and responsibilities that must be fulfilled and also the possible problems that arise at the family level because they spend little time with their family environment to meet the basic needs of the same.

Hello @carlir!
What you show us is a reality that I think most of us who decide to stay in our country live, the truth is that sometimes it seems that the days fly by and time is not enough for so many things we must do to stay afloat, this certainly is subtracting years of life and health. Good post, greetings!

Greetings @yusvelasquez, it is a reality that is faced every day and which I consider is of great value because in this way the situation is solved a little, despite the problems that can be generated.

Hello dear Professor @carlir

It is the first time that I associate this concept "labor polygamy", I understand perfectly the conjugation that you address in this manuscript, certainly the crucial element is that "This great effort that Venezuelans make to leave a job and run to another job is admirable, but in some cases is generating health problems due to stress levels that are maintained daily by so many occupations and responsibilities that must be fulfilled and also the possible", I infer that soon the economic situation of the country will stabilize and everything will return to its previous normality".

Best regards, have a great weekend.

Hello @lupafilotaxia, certainly labor polygamy is a term that theoretically has been little developed, but in the present of our country is reflected in practice daily, since many citizens are in the need to have two or more jobs to meet their needs.

And taking your last lines "I infer that soon the economic situation of the country will stabilize and everything will return to its previous normality", is what every Venezuelan expects in the short term, although it is not easy but surely that moment will come.

Thank you for your comment.
