Needed Principles That Made Elon Musk Create His Own School.

In my country, everyone is usually particular about their children getting a college degree and either the kid likes it or not, it is a usual habit that needs to be followed to the latter. When I found out that Elon Musk created a school for his children I was left to wonder if the SpaceX founder did not get the desired quality in the top schools around.

According to the founder, even after putting his children in an expensive school, he still did not get the values he was looking for in the schools so he created his own, below are the lessons that Elon tries to instil in the kids who attend his school.

He teaches the children not to see learning as a condition for grades.

The kids in the school created by Elon Musk do not look up to the time when they get to get good grades, most of the students in my own country see school as an opportunity to get good grades and most often, they do not even have any valuable lesson instilled in them after they have obtained their certificate but the students in this school learn because they see it as a basic thing to do and not because they want to come first in their class.

Students are in control of what they learn.

In this school established by Elon, students are not forced to stay in school instead when they get tired of a particular class they can easily just walk out of the class and find something more interesting to do with their time. Unlike a regular school where the kid has no other option than to sit and listen to lectures either he finds it interesting or not, in this school the child can walk out of the classroom whenever he feels the lecturer is no longer adding any value.

The school is extremely practical.

In my country, students have to learn everything in the classroom then practical is taught afterwards which makes learning extremely difficult, but in this school founded by Elon Musk he finds it very important to take learning through practical as being very important, when the child can see what he is been taught it becomes very easy for him to have a clearer understanding of the topic unlike when the child needs to just imagine what the practical of what he is been taught looks like.

Kids are taught in a playful way.

Kids certainly love things that are interesting, this school makes learning fun for them and the children love it unlike the normal school in my country where kids are forced to be extremely focused and serious minded in the classroom.
