Technology is all about making things easy for us and social media is getting us connected with the world and share our thought with people across the world. But nowadays technology has been added with social media and many innovative things are developed.
When we talk about social media we can not ignore the name of Twitter because its one of the leading micro-blogging platforms that give us the opportunity to connect with ease and share our thoughts and updated in limited characters. Facebook is also quite a popular social media platform but in the area of microblogging, there was no competition until now however in India a brand new micro-blogging platform is born. This new platform is known as "TOOTER"
India should have a Swadeshi social network. Without one we are just a digital colony of the American Twitter India Company, no different than what we were under the British East India Company. Tooter is our Swadeshi Andolan 2.0. Join us in this Andolan. Originally forked from the Mastodon project, Tooter's codebase is free and open-source, licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3 (AGPL3).
This new platform Tooter is open source and the codebase is free for everyone. Since its open-source so it gives the opportunity to people who can simply survive the experience and can make it the way they want.
India is the biggest market for Social media companies and both Twitter and Facebook are having a huge number of users from the country. Twitter has started shadowbanning and deleting accounts as well and censoring the words of the people. Now looks like they are going to have some competition at least in India that is quite a big market for them. Although this name also sounds similar and some of the features like blue tick etc are also the same but it would be interesting to see how Tooter gets more users on their platform who have been using Twitter for a long.
Tooter has their mobile app available for android only as of now and soon they will release the ios version as well since its much needed as people like to use micro-blogging on mobile.
Thank you so much.
Have a great day.
