"Three Unique Findings in the Village Forest"

After several weeks of busy work, this afternoon I finally had the opportunity to return to exploring the small forest around the village. With great enthusiasm, I prepared my photography equipment and stepped into the silence of nature. Unexpectedly, during this exploration, I discovered three very interesting and amazing objects.

  1. Lonely Mushroom on a Rotten Wood Branch
My first discovery was a fungus that grew by itself on a rotting wooden branch. The shape is simple, but very beautiful in itself. I don't know exactly what type of mushroom this is, but its smooth texture and pale color give a soft impression amidst the harshness of nature. I captured several angles of this mushroom, hoping to capture its natural beauty. In the middle of a quiet forest, the presence of this mushroom feels so peaceful.

  1. Monster Spider (Gasteracantha hasselti)
Not far from the mushroom location, my eyes were attracted to something truly unique—a spider with a strange and frightening body shape. This is not an ordinary spider, but Gasteracantha hasselti, which has a body like a small monster with sharp spines all over it. Its striking body color and terrifying natural design stunned me. I immediately captured it from various angles. This spider is truly an example of how creative nature can be in creating amazing creatures.

  1. Swarms of mosquito larvae in Batang Pinang are flooded
My latest finding is a little more ridiculous. On my way home, I found a puddle of water on the trunk of a fallen areca nut tree. In the puddle, hundreds of mosquito larvae swam actively, as if living in their own little world. Even though it was a little amusing, I still didn't want to miss this opportunity and immediately took a photo. This is quite a rare sight, and once again shows how every corner of nature harbors life, no matter how small.

Exploring the forest this afternoon really opened my eyes to the beauty and diversity that exists in nature. Each find provides a unique, unexpected story, and I am so grateful to be able to witness these small miracles. Nature is always full of surprises!

NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.

THIS PHOTO AND WRITING ARE ORIGINALLY MINE, THE PICTURE WAS TAKEN USING A XIOMI NOTE 10 PRO SMARTPHONE CAMERA AND ADDITIONAL MACRO LENSES
