My 30 meters long wire antenna is still approximately four or five meters above the ground in the garden. It is not ideal on 24 MHz, but it works.
Today afternoon I made a QSO (two-way radioamateur contact) with VE2CSI (a radioamateur club) in Sept-Îles, Canada on 24.930 MHz. You can hear his callsign at the end of the video, and that he is calling EU (Europe).
My QTH (the location of my amateur radio station) is in Tiszasüly, Hungary. The distance between us is 5987 km (FO60TE<>KN07EJ).
He was just above the noise, but I heard him, and he also heard me. We successfully completed the QSO. Straight after me, he made a contact with another Hungarian station, with HA1AC Péter from Tárnok, Hungary, but I have not heard him.
I am a licensed radioamateur since 2012.01.16 (my callsign is HA5KZO), so I am transmitting legally.
Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
