ES: Hola amigos, es un gusto postear nuevamente aquí y compartir con ustedes más información agrícola. En esta oportunidad estamos promoviendo el cultivo de la Manihot esculenta planta tropical mejor conocida como Yuca, Mandioca o Cassava y originada en América.

Entre las principales razones que tenemos para incentivar a más personas a producirla es que es un cultivo muy fácil de lograr, se trata de una planta muy rústica que se adapta a distintos tipos de suelo y que es muy resistente a plagas y enfermedades. Hoy por hoy es un cultivo clave para la Seguridad Alimentaria del mundo entero y estamos promoviendo su siembra a través de la difusión de los conocimientos para cultivarla.

En esta publicación compartimos los 7 videos que componen este contenido audiovisual, en cada uno de los cuales podrán encontrar cada una de las fases del cultivo de este tubérculo. En la primera parte, que se encuentra la inicio del post hablamos sobre la historia del cultivo, damos los precedentes históricos en el continente americano que nos invitan a reconocer esta planta como una de las bases de la alimentación de cualquier sociedad. Igualmente hablamos sobre los requerimientos climáticos de la planta y cuáles son los tipos de suelo más recomendados para su cultivo.

ES: En esta segunda parte te mostramos cómo realizar la preparación del suelo utilizando maquinaria agrícola (tractor acoplado a la rastra) para cultivar en grandes extensiones de terreno.

Aprovechamos la ocasión para darte las recomendaciones de revisión y mantenimiento que debes hacer antes de poner la rastra en funcionamiento, e igualmente te explicamos cómo hacer correctamente esta labor para que aproveches al máximo los nutrientes y materia orgánica disponibles en el suelo para que tu cultivo desarrolle excelentemente.

ES: Aquí te damos recomendaciones y criterios para realizar la selección Post-Cosecha de los tubérculos de yuca o mandioca, cuya calidad se determina por el tamaño y grosor. Al respecto caba decir que se considera de mayor calidad cuando la raíz no está partida, aunque también las raíces que se parten se comercializan.

Esta selección Post-Cosecha es muy importante para la comercialización de los tubérculos y nos permite separar los frutos de mayor calidad para venderlos a un precio más alto que los de calidad inferior.
