This is why I don't want to swap Steem for a certain crappy ETH-based token... But with Steemit Inc on lock-down, are there any independent devs in the community who can pick up where they left off? I'm guessing when Stank was sold, the tech for MST's went along with the sale...

Maybe they actually sold MSTs (Marketing Smart Tokens)
but kept SMTs for themselves.
