The man of the techno-scientific world has been noted to be a self-sufficient.
He is a 'self-made man'. He is one who lives, inhabits and uses only that which he has mafe produced, one who constructs and fabricates his own environment as opposed to that which nature, on its own, can offer and has generously been proffering.

Unlike the man of the pre-technocratic world, who dialogued with nature and relies on its magnanimity in providing for the abundance of life or even the resolution of its riddles (like sickness and death), he has replaced nature with 'technology ' a hegemonic or even a tyrannic rule of technology (techne=art or skill ;logos =study or science ;therefore, technology means the science of art or the artful /skillful science or study).

In technocracy only 'handcraftcy' or 'artcraftcy ' is the logic. It is in this purview that this modern man makes recourse to science and technology in order to explain the intricacies in the new society of man. So within the context of the discourse on the social problems of humanity in today's techno-industralized society, the situation in which one questions the conditions and possibilities of humanity is determineddetermined by the new environment of man.
