What you are saying can be extended to Wikipedia, Snopes, etc...
There is actually no proof that we are getting a truth, as Google is a giant monster, so powerful that it will make your head spin.

Yes absolutely and even if the truth is just ever so slightly skewed to suit a certain narative, that matters.
Gone are the days of spending 4 hours in a library researching a topic that interests you. But i guess in a way even in that old school way, there was no way to know for sure how true what you read in the books were - they were simply someone elses narrative.
It's definitely much worse on line though. There are many unfortunately who believe anything just because it's written down.
