Health Professionals on Hive- A nice idea?

I first started with Steemit in say 2016 and back then I was a medical student. I've grown to like Hive not only as a place to socialise but as a place to invest in.

I have tried encouraging many of my friends who were medical students then and are now doctors to their time and I think it is hard because of the nature of starting and progressing in Hive blog and the blockchain.

I do believe that gold is always hidden in a place where nobody would like to go but I also feel like my friends are missing out on a huge opportunity.

I sometimes feel bad for those who can not keep up with blogging because of either how busy their hospital is or how busy their department is.

I remember being in Surgery and not posting for a week. That week all I wanted to do was rest or talk to someone who knew exactly what I was going through or maybe take a picture and say a really small sentence and have someone get it like,

"I just finished assisting 5 Hirshprung cases, I need a break."

Someone who gets it might be in the comment section like "what centre is that?" or "what is happening over there?" and it would be easy for me to explain it.

The closest thing to a place like this is what we have going on in Stemsocial. But if had to do that I would have to make the post long and interesting.

Medicine and Surgery is not boring...in fact it is quite the opposite, it is too interesting, dangerously so.

If we had to discuss all the details of what happened in the human body it could be broken down to its chemical, physicaland biological elements and we could keep ramblings about it.

The things we discuss are bigger than a child could ever fantasize about.

Most people love watching the lives of healthcare professionals...particularly doctors and nurses on TV shows but in real life, we get madly exhausted and writing a long post every week might be too much to ask.

But few comments a day among friends in a community just for ourselves would be amazing.

If a health post by someone other than a healthcare professional is made that would be awesome too...if a community like this existed I would like everyone to get involved in growing it...so we'll welcome everyone.

If you are looking at how you could relay your questions or confusions to a community...hopefully we'll also incentive it.

I know it cost about 4 Hive to make a community, but I don't want to rush into it and not have support. So I wanted to know what my friends and family think about it first.

Even though the community is supposed to be for healthcare professionals, I would like other people to invest their posts in the community.

Healthcare professionals are sort of a good crowd to gather investments from and in this case, particularly I am talking about upvotes. If we could have a community that cares about us, I think we would care for that community. And who would better take care of a community that a health care provider?

I want the community to be for students, pharmacists, nurses, dieticians, physiotherapist and all other health related fields.

I know some doctors that might be interested in pulling funds together for this...

@bhoa
@gamsam
@topdollar001
@jaydr

And many others who's hive names fail me.

So let me know what you think in the comment section...

How does it sound to you?

Would you like a community like this?

As healthcare professional do you feel the need to communicate in this manner with other healthcare professionals?

I wouldn't bother creating a community. I would just choose a hashtag for whatever conversation I desired.

That would be brilliant. We could even encourage people to post other communities...use the hashtag first...whatever it is and that way we'll see the works of everyone using it.

Like you could post on stemsocial if your post is long or d buzz for a short one.

But can post be pinned on a hashtag?

Communities tend to compete with each other. The hashtag approach allows one to build across communities. So, I would start with the hashtag.

Waivio.com is using the term "object" instead of hashtag or community. I haven't figured out what they are doing with objects.

A nice feature of Waivio is that it allows people to leave comments with their google or facebook account making it possible to draw people into a project without demanding they get a hive account first.

Wow....I think this is superb....I've watch Waiv grow to be one of the biggest assets in my wallet. If that was their strategy then it is worth emulating.

Gradually a tag like that can have token and build behind every community

This is great..
I believe this will help the Hive community and improve health awareness with health contents too.

More so, like you said, there really no health talk community, non that I have seen. I m sure this can serve that purpose too.

Like all those proofofbrain gems tgat we add to our works.

My only problem is that we can't pin information there...other than that it an awesome idea
