The world inventions: The history and the case of the crane!

A crane is much used today for lifting heavy objects. We are using it in cities of large extent around the world, and we are using it for building skyscrapers and large buildings.

The concept of cranes originated from pulley systems that were first utilized by ancient Mesopotamians as early as 1500 BC. A crane for lifting heavy loads was developed by the Ancient Greeks in the late 6th century BC. The archaeological record shows that no later than c. 515 BC distinctive cuttings for both lifting tongs and lewis irons begin to appear on stone blocks of Greek temples. Therefore, we got the crane before Jesus Christ, and we have a long history of the crane to take care of. But we have used the crane to take heavy lifts in the humanity and the history of mankind!

For thousands of years, people have innovated the ways to lift heavy objects, when they really needed such a service. Back in time, they used the crane to build the pyramids and for building the temples. As such, it was nearly impossible to build such things. Therefore, many people have through the different times in nature since the earliest morning, dwelled with how the buildings and the objects were made. And they used a crane to it, and the idea of a crane is relatively old, but the technology we are using today in new and innovative!

Cranes were first hand-powered for centuries. Therefore, you needed many humans to plan and to implement the work that was done. With a history that stretches back to Ancient Egypt, China, and Greece, water-powered machines (mostly water wheels) had been in use for thousands of years. Ancient irrigation systems, like the aqueducts developed by the Romans, relied on simple hydraulic technology, like siphoning.

But it was not until the 15th century that Blaise Pascal studied fluid hydrodynamics and hydrostatics, creating a new understanding of hydraulic principles like fluid density, pressure and incompressibility. Accordingly, the hydraulic technology is relatively new to the world. We have used the technology that was present in every history of time, and we have used the human brain and the creativity of mankind to find how and when the technology was functioning.

Today, hydraulic cranes are build with better specifications and better materials than during the 1800s. As with many products, we find research and new product development to take care of what we know, and to develop the products of today, even better than earlier times and even better than yesterday! We find the new development and the new products in the present technology of time, indepedently of which time it was. But all products have a start, and therefore we are making better products today than for many years, since we are knowing much more. In modern day, some mobile hydraulic cranes have a load capacity of up to 1,200 tons with a boom extending to 328 feet. We will even increase this load capacity in the future. Companies of today, are developing remote monitoring and support to know what the crane is doing, and which consequences it has. A crane is a type of machine, generally equipped with a hoist rope, wire ropes or chains, and sheaves, that can be used both to lift and lower materials and to move them horizontally. We cannot find all types of work with lifting heavy objects in the cranes, but they would be even better in the future, and maybe all types of lifting can be used with the cranes in the future. The human brain, and the details on the crane, have the potential to do things even better, and in more sensible ways. We need to use the intellectual capacity to the human brain, and the various education and research background to know things properly with the cranes, and we should avoid guessing instead of the better knowing, and knowing how we know, and why we know as we know. Philosophy and experiments should be used to develop the products in the markets today even better!
