Penicillin is a great discovery, of all the discoveries you can imagine and remember at the earth and in the universe. Penicillin is about antibiotics, and this material can fight against any bacterial infection. How did this really happened?

While working at St Mary's Hospital in London, Scottish physician Alexander Fleming was the first to experimentally discover that a Penicillium mould secretes an antibacterial substance. It was the first attempt to concentrate the active substance involved, and Fleming named this for Penicillin in 1928. Penicillin is used to kill bacteria and hinder their growth and development. Hence, it was a great invention, but virus did we not find a solution on, and this is due to the fact that there are just many and individually working viruses, and each virus is unique in its way of being.

So, we should thank Scotland to find an antibiotics against bacterial infections. And the human body is nowadays understood in all its operations, and being a good doctor often requires several years of studies, and that is good for the hospitals, and for the quality of taking and treating each individual in serious ways.

Sometimes, the only way to become well, is to take Penicillin. And we should always examine the cause or the causes why we are bad from time to time, and if Penicillin is the right antibiotics against the disease in question. People are often using Paracet or Paracetamol when they feel badly in the body during a day, also a working day. And we should always find the cause of being badly, and how this can be reduced or deleted from our bodies. We all want to be as much well as we can through all times, and we need no comments on it, we can do things on our own, or together with a doctor.

The word “Penicillin” is coming from the Latin word “Penicillum” meaning a painter’s brush. And one can use right or wrong brush when painting, and the medicine are either right or wrong. And the discoverer of Penicillin was Fleming, and he had really a history of painting. And when painting, you are taking a part of the nearly infinity in nature of many things. A taking that part from the nature and human nature, you paint it! And therefore Pencillin is the antibiotics you take to paint something in your body and have focus on it, and turn your illness to being well!

So, Penicillin has a special and remarkable history, and it changed the world, and the understanding of some diseases. Penicillin had the bactericidal effect as the mould, and this is called for Penicillium chrysogenum, and earlier it was named Penicillium notatum. So, the name Pencillin came for painting and art, and from the mould. And this medicine could kill any disease which was due to spread of bacteria in the body. This invention means that we should always examine nature and find the help to human nature in the nature!

Penicillin and making medicine of it, is much about research in chemistry! And that is the history of many antibiotics that we have found in nature. In 1942 and in 1943, things were proved to be a critical moment in the medical usage of Penicillin, and it was sold to the pleasure of the people in different countries. Later on, important contributors include Ernst Chain, Howard Florey, Norman Heatley and Edward Abraham. Fleming, Florey and Chain shared the 1945 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery and development of Penicillin. And Dorothy Hodgkin received the 1964 Nobel Prize in Chemistry determining the structures of important biochemical substances including Penicillin.

I can't find the exact sources right now, but before medicine chose to go down the path of antibiotics, I believe the Soviets researched into bacteriophages as a mean to combat infections.

That should be a fun one to research the history of as well.
