On visiting Besseggen in the Norwegian mountains: Perceiving what you want of Norwegian nature!

Besseggen is one of Norway's most popular mountain classics. Some would argue that it is a must-do hike for all Norwegians. An estimated 60 000 people walk the Besseggen ridge every year. And this is a popular tour, and you get the free availability with consuming Norwegian nature.

No one should interfere in your life of public organizations, and every stupid human coming to you nnd me with no availability should be taken away to the court or other places. And everything going on in different societies should be in accordance with national laws and rules, and in accordance to the human rights in Strasbourg, Paris and New York. And do not smaile at something there, but consider your own body as a holy body given from God in human nature in nature.

Besseggen Ridge has a special status among Norwegians and hiking the ridge is considered a rite of passage, no matter your age. The iconic view is characterized by the colourful Gjende and Bessvatnet lakes. Bessvatnet is a deep blue and among Norway's clearest lakes. Hiking the Besseggen Ridge is very demanding.

You can run over Besseggen, there is a running race called for Besseggen Mountain Run. You decide how to move from place to place, and you can walk or run just as you can imagine and make your interests within during the trip while being there. Join a wonderful adventure, as exerciser or competitive runner. The record to beat is 1.15.40, set by Tomas Bereket in 2014. Distance: 14 km and Elevation: 1000 m. When it comes to accommodation at Besseggen, you are relatively free to choose, and nobody can take away the choices we have as individual being all places at earth where we just want from time to time. Around Besseggen you will find 7 different accommodation options ranging from simple campsites to richly equipped campgrounds and mountain hotels with private baths and toilets in the rooms. The most people taking the trip over Besseggen take the boat inwards Gjende before they take hold on the popular mountain trip. The Gjende boat is going from the pier at Gjendesheim every morning, and the boat is taken your further to Memurubu. It is at Memurubu the trip over Besseggen is starting.

You can also go Besseggen the other or from the opposite way. You are then starting from Gjendesheim or Bessheim. If you choose to go this way, you are going down Besseggen, and you are ending in Memurubu, where you take the boat back to Gjendesheim.

The name Besseggen is known from «The Buck Ride» in Henrik Ibsens play «Peer Gynt». Peer is trying to convince his mother, Aase, about that he has ridden over Gjendineggen, now called for Besseggen on a reindeer. He depicts the egg in the following way:

Have you seen it?
Gendin-eggen at any time?
It is 5 km long,
and goes away like a scythe,
down glaciers, landslides and mountain slopes!
Etc.
Besseggen is also known from the poem «Besseggen» of Ragnvald Skrede.
