RE: Pushed out of the average society

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

AI will replace humans in many jobs. That will leave people wonder about their calling in life. Many saw their calling in a job, maybe missing to pursue what they were really destined for. Tough pill to swallow after a certain age? Absolutely! Hard to navigate and find your place in the new society! That's a no brainer!

We as humans will have to level up. Our thinking, our goals, our path in life. Our ways of making money. AI is not just sci fi as some might think, it is going to be a reality.

On a different perspective, it can open new roads for people who would not have thought walking on them unless this would happen. Progress is necessary. Sometimes, and most of the times, it hurts and it is not comfortable. Neither is success.

We shall see, this will be interesting.

AI already controls much of what we do, but it isn't visible. All those social algorithms and suggestions are guiding our decisions now.

Making us all irrelevant might be the best thing that happens to us as a society. Then we can find out who we are when we don't have to earn for a living.

Then we can find out who we are when we don't have to earn for a living.

I wonder why don't we replace then with now. Why do we have to wait? Why people don't ask themselves this vital question now? Because all we have is... Now..then...is just a future concept.. Why?

We don't have to wait, but the problem is that we still (mostly) have obligations and wants - money is generally needed for both :)

Dirty dirty money.Reminds me of that song dirty cash haha. We all need money, but the way we organise our lives around this desire will dictate whether we are going to get them in the amounts we want them or not

In general, we probably all want more than the money we have allows :)

Oh indeed, but this desire for more more..... Creates a perpetual feeling of unhappiness

Yes it does and it doesn't seem to matter what kind of more it is - "more love" is one of the worst of them.

I will also add, that what we all can do is start making a shift - small steps toward freedom

Yes. We must try. We must not wait for opportunities, we must strive to create them. That is why I always admire those who try try try. It does not matter if you fail, but trying puts you ahead of all of those who sit comfortably and complain, waiting for old age to die of pure boredom. Sounds harsh, but that's a reality.
