Be Wary when you Buy a New Android Smartphone

If you are on the Market looking for a Brand New Smartphone then the chances of you making a mistake in what device you buy is quite high unless you are quite Tech Savvy. The reason behind that is that currently there is a burst of Smartphone launches and most of them have the same specs and looks so finding the right one for you is definitely going to take some work.

For starters there used to be only one flagship device launched every year from every company but now some have started to make two flagships a year and some have even shortened the time spans between two Flagship launches so that people always stay on their toes and be alert that their Smartphones are getting older even though the year hasn't passed yet.

The second point is the marketing strategy the company prepares for their products, they highlight their product in such a way that if you don't have this Smartphone then you are one of the Uncool ones and if you have one then you are the Cool Guy in Town. BTW this is called Deficit Advertising which I will talk about in a future post.

So what should you Do?

You should start by analyzing if you really need a smartphone right now. Most of the Time your old Smartphone will have the necessary juice to run one more year, but if your Smartphone is really not good then the second question you should ask yourself is what do you want in your Smartphone. Do you want a Nice Camera or a Flagship Processor or an All-Rounder? Once you have decided on the Theme then according to your Budget you should sort things out on various tech websites that give you detailed comparisons of various Smartphones in the Market.

The reason I am writing this post right now is that I am on the Market currently to buy a new Smartphone for my Mom and my Moms only requirement is a good camera but still, I believe if I am paying the price I should go for an All Rounder Smartphone but on the Retail Market, everyone keeps pushing either Vivo or Oppo Smartphones to me as their Margin of Profit is quite good and sometimes they go way overboard to just selling a device that they can earn a nice profit in. So make sure you make your necessary research before just blindly trusting the Retailers you buy your Smartphone from.
