Technology lightens the load of work and Crypto lightens the cost of moving money

I stumbled on the picture of a 5 megabytes (MB) hard-drive as at 1956 and how large it was. This makes me appreciate more the evolution of technology which has helped to lighten the load of work over the years. The 5MB of data as at 1965 weighed a ton and was what the first computer with something carried to represent a hard drive that we use today. This happened when IBM launched RAMAC.

The 5MB as at 1956 was able to store approximately 5MB of data: five million 8-bit characters on fifty 24-inch-diameter disks, a form of drum memory. It consisted of two independent access arms that moved up and down to select a disk, and in and out to select a recording track, all under servo control. link

In 2020, 66 years later, we have a 1 Terabyte Secure Digital card (SD card) is as light as a paper and can be carried in a baby's palms. We can have the SD card useable in portable devices, such as car navigation systems, cellular phones, e-books, PDAs, smartphones, digital cameras, music players, digital video camcorders and personal computers.

SanDisk's 1TB Extreme microSD card is the biggest capacity that it's ever sold, and you can buy one... for $449.99. As for where you can buy it right now, it's available on SanDisk's store. B&H Photo is also accepting orders for the memory card link.

This 1 Terabyte SD card can work with most Android phones, and other kinds of devices that can benefit from plenty of space for photos, video and other digital products in your phone.

This is how technology has evolved over the years, helping to lighten the load of work.

I remember when we had to be cutting grass in our school field far back then in the Primary school. Things have so changed, and schools now own lawn mowers to do the same job helping to serve more human energy and covering a large portion of work in a little time.

Is Cryptocurrency to lighten the Cost of moving money?
Some years ago in the university, my friends told me about cryptocurrency and how it is serving as a digital money. It was never an easy message to receive. I wish I had, I would have had some good savings of Bitcoin by today.

Thanks I've finally done that with Hive and looking forward to building my wallet to Three and Four digits soon.

Interesting that in the few days of publishing on Hive, I have earned some close to $38 so far and it is interesting for me. That's a big money in my local currency if converted. In fact it will be heavy, and huge in mass to over 500g or so. But I hold it in my wallet, as just a text message.

I am happy to be a part of this technological revolution in finance and will have a lot of stories to tell my children in the future.
