This is my first post here in this wonderful programming & developers community. I am Alexander Chosen, a tech-evangelist and I am currently learning flutter codes for cross-platform mobile applications and python for Machine learning and data analysis.
Today I brought back my childhood memories of playing Ludo games with my family especially my sweet mum. My mum would always use the game to explain my math homework and it really helped me love mathematics. One problem we would always face most times especially when I didn't want to do my homework is having to look for the playing dice.

Do you remember playing Ludo games as a child especially to learn basic math operations and for fun? Did you also encounter this problem?
In order to solve this common problem, I decided to create my DICE MOBILE APPLICATION USING FLUTTER CODES.

Surprising, right? let me walk you through my flutter Experience

The Journey So Far...

I know you are already eager to know what flutter is?
Well, Flutter is Google's UI toolkit for building beautiful, natively compiled applications for mobile, web, desktop, and embedded devices from a single codebase (Flutter developers team). Flutter uses dart programming language to build cross-platform applications which is made possible with a single code base.

So, with the help of flutter's rich ability and easy to apply codebase I made a simple dice app which basically replaces the conventional dice we use and can be played directly from your mobile phone. This solves the problem of having to look for your dice every time you want to play and helps save time too.

The working process...

“Simplicity is the soul of efficiency.” – Austin Freeman

The working process is very simple to understand. The two dice are wrapped inside a flat button and when touched, it changes its face randomly from 1-6.With this, you can play your dice game anytime and is also child-friendly since children loves to touch screens a lot and its easy to play.

This is just the beginning for me as my aim to use these coding knowledge to provide more solutions to human problems.

“First, solve the problem. Then, write the code.”
– John Johnson

Enjoyed today's post right? Don't forget to like, share and drop your sweet comments. Much love

Ludo games are very underrated in this country. It's not just fun and games to me though, that's pure strategic planning and calculating. It's fun though especially when you're the one winning

True talk dear...looking back to those times and how it made me better in calculations is more reason why I think the Ludo game should be upgraded in a way children of our present time can easily use and understand.
Thanks for your wise comment. Much love

Coding was always something I lusted after.. But so much on my plate already..
I still hope to learn a thing or two, may be I learn it on Hive..

Talk about Ludo, my dad never believed it helped our maths.. He looked at it more like gambling m with uncertainty.

It was when I started solving probability in school and saw questions like .. What is the probability that a rolled dice will give a 2 in a ludo game ?.. I say ... Eehn.. 😀😀

Yeah...one thing we also need to deal with too is our perception about games...some parents see it this way because of the way the game has been misused for another negative purpose.
Thank goodness we know better now😃
Thanks for your wise words. Much love man

This is just the beginning for me as my aim to use these coding knowledge to provide more solutions to human problems.

Coding has been one of the skill I wanted to learn when I was in Secondary, there was even a time when some NGO came to our school offered interested students the opportunity to learn any course for free, and coding was one of the course but I couldn't register for the program due to some personal issue (Family crises then).

I usually admire a coder, cause I believe with their skill they can make the world a better place.

Thank you for sharing

You can still learn now...leverage on coding platforms like udemy, w3schools, simplilearn and others and take free courses.
Thanks man

Hmm… so one can use his phone without having to look for a dice. This is a nice idea but the video is too short.

Nice one man...will definitely work on the video length next time.
Thanks a lot

I really don't know anything about coding but I always envy those that are gurus in it... I just hope to learn this someday.

Great project you have here.. I wish you the very best... Hope the working process is as easy as you say it
