Visiting a neighborhood vegetable garden on a Sunday!
I visited a neighborhood garden earlier and I was fascinated by the dedication of the people that built the amenity and planted the vegetables that are in this garden. Surrounding a small garden plot are high-rise apartment buildings that showcase that with genuine interest in growing your own food and hard work, a challenging undertaking can be achieved.
If we are to compare the cost of vegetables that are being sold in the grocery stores located in the city and the vegetable market in the village or a province area, the difference in the cost is evident. The cost of transporting the vegetables from the farms to the grocery stores will have an impact on the price of the goods. One of the reasons for that is the transportation cost of vegetables has to be considered to the price of the produce. Another factor to be added to the price is the cost of wastage that will happen while the produce is being transported from the farm to the grocery stores as well.
In many cases, the overhead cost is higher than the cost of the products themselves. Because of those factors, it has become known to the city dwellers that the only way to get rid of those costs is to grow your vegetables. Thanks to technology and farming knowledge, the urban gardening movement has been implemented to lessen the need to import more vegetables to the city.
This design of planting vegetables utilizes a series of PVC pipes, loose materials, and a continuously recirculating flow of water. This design effectively distributes nourishment and water to the vegetables while maximizing the space for planting vegetables.
I think that it's a genius idea that was implemented beautifully using simple construction materials.
The other designs of the garden plots utilize a typical style of raised planter boxes which are perfectly elevated so that they fit the ergonomic requirements of a person caring for the garden. It will be convenient for the gardener and thus improve the efficiency of the work as well.
In just a few weeks, these garden plots are already showing promising results. I believe this initiative will truly impact our neighborhood by inspiring neighbors to embrace the benefits of growing their own vegetables. Not only are they healthier, free from harmful pesticides and chemicals, but they also offer peace of mind with every delicious bite. It's not just about food; it's about fostering a healthier lifestyle that benefits us all.
I really like the idea of growing your own veggies in the city. It’s amazing to see people working together for a healthier lifestyle.
Indeed. I hope that this movement will grow and more communities in different neighborhoods will do the same. :)
Indeed wishing for the best

The effort and patience of the owner of the garden is truly amazing.😊 I like how the garden is arranged and well-maintained too.😊
Indeed 😊 The owner's dedication really shines through in the garden's beauty and upkeep. It's wonderful to see how much care and effort can create such a lovely and inspiring space. 🌱🌸
True.. and wishing that we have those skills and dedication too.😊
Same here. Hopefully, during my retirement years, I will have enough time to do these kinds of gardening projects as well.
We are on the same page too. I hope by God's will, we will. Hoping.🙏
Love this execution! My Brooklyn apartment building is directly across the street from a community garden, so I can simply look out my window for gardening inspiration. I mostly just grow herbs and garlic (and cannabis) in the few raised planter boxes going on our 2nd floor patio.
That's fantastic! Having a community garden right across the street must be so inspiring. Growing herbs, garlic, and cannabis on your patio sounds like a great use of space. Keep up the great work and happy gardening! 🌿🌱
Good excuse to get out in the sun and talk to the plants!
Just a shame I can't stick my toes in the dirt!
