I do not understand the difficulties that some CEOs put to remote work, it can be a great opportunity for companies and a great improvement for society.

It is a control thing. Plus, for many, they are averse to technology. It is a generational thing. Many are Baby Boomers, not a generation that excels at embracing technology.

Put those two together and they want things to return to what they know which is people in the office.
