Investing is like planting a tree. You have to have that vision to see a future and the insight to see the potential in a small seed. I bought 765 Riftwatchers Gems from the Presale. I had change some plans and weight eagerly for the event and take quick action. All that effort was made because I had faith in this NFT collection.

Many parts of my portfolio crashed in spectacular nose dives. If you were with me on $CUB and $POLYCUB, you know how bad things can be in a bear market even for a legitimately good project with well thought out Tokenomics. @splinterlads assets held up phenomenolly good compared to rest of the market. After Riftwatchers Gems started going through daily burns, we are going to get the rest of the Airdrops without long waiting times.

Water Splinter Airdrop Has Arrived

This is the 4th Airdrop. Each Airdrop is a Legendary Card from one of the 6 Splinters. By speculating on the images, we can expect a Legendary Fire Monster next followed by a Legendary Life Monster. All the purchases made though the Shop is eligible. Riftwatchers Gems can be bought for lower prices on the market, but you will be missing out on the Airdrops. I prefer to buy from the source.

Airdrop Results

If you stick around long enough, good luck will have a better chance of showing up. I'm absolutely happy to see the results. The eventual circulating supply of Riftwatchers Cards will be lower than what I anticipated when I joined the Presale. Lower supply will help with the price (and even gameplay strategies) over time.

Current Market Price of Airdrop

Value is what you get; Price is what you pay. I am not a fan of Warren Buffet as an investor. I don't agree with certain things he has said/done. But his thoughts on value and price is something I'm fully in agreement with. I can use the Cards for Battles and earn crypto or rent them out to a player or use them on Land (Soon™).

The price on the other hand is not backed by fundamentals. It is a result of supply and demand. The price can move in a direction that has no backing by real objective facts as long as supply or demand favors that direction. Such is the madness of the markets and it is to be expected by anyone who is looking to trade.

What is The Lesson?

I don't have $248.80 with me to make the purchase from the market. We are not in a bull market. We had a long bear market and currently we are stuck in a sideways limbo for months. Airdrops are a breath of fresh liquidity that can be used for many things.

I have this Airdrop on me because I acted early at the right moment. If I sell the Cards now, I will be making an unwise decision for the long term. It should be possible for me to trade these Cards and end up with a profit. I can also opt for HODLing these Cards investing zero effort into trading and still manage to have large gains once @splinterlands is mainstream in a few years.
