Thank you. I had zero idea that Presearch existed and I am tremendously excited about this for the same reason you have highlighted with the following sentiment...

"**but am in the process of re-evaluating the current state of affairs and slowly adjusting my own behaviours to support the future I like to live in"
**
I am weaning myself off social media, having deactivated my Twitter account after 11 years of activity, I am waiting for my Facebook archived data and will delete that account. I am weaning myself off Google slowly but surely but that is a longer exercise. Big tech are telling us what to think, who to listen to and basically selling a narrative which is disruptive and causing a lot of racial and idealism tension which is harming many lives ABSOLUTELY UNNECCESSARY

You are also on your way. It's a process and some of the steps are not easy to make. FB and Twitter I still use, both for their own reasons. But I wish I could leave these platforms whilst still maintaining the same information streams (content) I get from these platforms. One is about music events (FB), and the other is about crypto (Twitter). Google I still use some emails addresses and free storage. I can relative easily replace them, and soon I will. Google search, I rarely need, most of the time Presearch is good enough.

You ever used our own HIVE search engine? I use it quite regularly. hivesearcher.com its called today. Earlier today, I discovered an old post I wrote about this searcher, I completely forgot about. That posts gives a few tips and commands hivesearcher is supporting. Very useful engine. I use the Recent and Most Relevant tabs in the search results mostly (post)

Great, I will try and discipline myself to shy away from 'the easy way out' Google. Will read your post and test drive Presearch

The cool thing is: When going to their landing page, you can select the search engine to use for the search. I use a plugin in Brave and Chrome (Google, I know, but need 5 browsers to handle all crypto and other stuff) and the address bare to put in my searches, in this scenario Presearch uses its default engine (is customisable).

Let me know what you think... Or write a post with your thoughts :)
