Do I make you Horny?
Is it a Trump pump, to be followed by a Trump dump?
Probably right? So, sell the hype? But, what if that is what the markets are waiting for, before pushing to an astronomical new high that shatters records and makes a golddigger with a kink for tech nerds panties moist? 'what if it is so high it makes my panties moist?
Whoa. That'd be high.
Because, I'd need more Bitcoin than I have. However, if HIVE followed suit and went to the dark side of the moon and far beyond, then I might be getting excited.
5x, 10x, 20x.
With the ban of TikTok in the US (for now), there have been the dreamers saying things like, what if 1% of them came to Hive, or what if 170 million people arrived and spent $10 on Hive each? I think these things too, knowing that it is about as far-fetched as Elon Musk buying 10 million HIVE and then shilling it on Twitter, or X, or whatever the hell it has become these days.
But, one of the interesting things with HIVE is that a fair amount of it is locked up in stake and takes time to release, which means that it is "easier" to push the price higher, and keep it there for some time before a huge amount is dumped on the market to bring the price back. However, far less than half of the HIVE is powered up and staked these days, so there is more liquid to move around than previously. But, that also means that that which is staked is earning slightly more from the pool through curation.
And this sets up another dynamic in the ecosystem, because as price rise, so too does vote value, and while the same amount of HIVE will be in the pool, the HBD amount will increase. This is a major win for the creators, because curators don't get paid in HBD - it is Hive only. So, if you were someone who was liking your vote values when HIVE price was up at about 60 cents recently, how do you think you will feel if it was 5x that? And then, how long will it be there for? Is it worth selling, or is it worth earning on the principle, and getting the additional percentage on top for holding?
Sell.
It is interesting here, because most of the time I am not for selling HIVE, but we also know that no market upswing is going to last forever and there are benefits for the price to sell high. Yes, it will bring the price down, but what it means is that people would have been buying HIVE high, and like most people, they won't want to make a loss on it. They will eventually. And even those who would still be selling at a profit might keep holding, because they want to make *more profits. This cycle brings the floor price of HIVE upward, so that in the downturn times, price is still higher, and maybe enough to retain more people and keep them active.
The lower people buy, the less it has to climb for adequate profits to sell, which means that price will not only climb more slowly (or fall), but there is more chance that it ends up in the hands of token speculators, not Hive users. This is probably part of the reason so much of the Hive (about 2/3rds) is currently unvested. It is liquid because people want to sell it. Hive users want to sell it too, but they are also wise enough (normally) to earn on it when they aren't going to be selling it. Not just earn of course, but also be part of the Hive community, voting posts of other members, and helping them increase their Hive ownership also.
One of the reasons I don't understand why people aren't on Hive, is because Hive is far more interesting than the other platforms. Forget the content for a moment, and look at the ecosystem. It is full of games. Not just games to Play to Earn like Splinterlands, Holozing and Crownrend (they are referrals if you are looking to join in on a game - Crownrend is very new), but games of the community, with all the powering up, down, staking, HBD savings, Hive-Engine pools, and of course, being part of the community. Those other platforms are fucking boring in comparison for a user, because they are just endless scroll experiences.
Hive is like a choose your own adventure, a bit like an economic MMPORG, with so many different paths to take, each with the potential to both build into the community, and earn from the community. It is pretty amazing in my opinion, but I am biased, because I have been here for so long already, playing many different experiences, but always me.
One of the things that annoys me a lot about many of the games on Hive, is that they tend to encourage multiple accounts, rather than incentivising the growth of an individual account. Hive has a bit of that issue too, where there are people with hundreds, some with thousands of accounts, all looking to run some kind of little scam to skim value. There are some very big and well-known accounts who have in the past, been caught self-voting with what they thought were hidden alts.
Too much is hidden.
TikTok was banned in the US because of "data concerns" of information going to the Chinese government, which sounds relevant. But, all the companies are doing the same, and feeding that information back to the governments anyway. Just think about the narrative that Facebook was supposedly forced to provide and enforce during the Covid epidemic - with a great deal of that information, provably false. But, I do get not wanting information on hundreds of millions of users getting into the wrong hands - but the question is...
Whose are the right hands?
The answer is simple of course.
No ones.
Rather than trying to stop individual companies, the law should be that no user data can be collected. Or perhaps, only a set amount of basic data can be collected, for practicality sake. The data shouldn't be able to be used to target for advertisements at all, especially since most of what is advertised is negative for people's health. Data shouldn't be used to sell more crap to us, it should be used to help us reach more of our potential as individuals, communities and as a species. But, it isn't getting used to do that, instead it is valuable because it generates ad revenue, and it is valuable because it is being weaponized. No government will never ban data collection, because hey want access to the weapon capabilities also.
You know what would make my panties wet?
A society and an economy that maximized global wellbeing.
Hive at 20 dollars is a close second.

Melania released her token today and I bought the Trump token on the dip at an average price of $45. Now I’m thinking about what price to sell it at :)
Trumpcooonnnneeeeectttttt!
What is it at now?
$46, I placed more orders for purchases of $35 and $25. The token meme from the president deserves to be in the top 20. But his wife’s token is unlikely.
Deserves? No it doesn't.....
lol
at $20 hive, this is me :)

As long as there is Red Bull!
:D :D
Redbull..... Can't buy taste!
where boss?
boss where?
go buy coffee! :)
at $20 hive maybe I could buy a yacht and have even less interactions with society.
Yeah, I don't see masses coming to HIVE simply because a platform was shut down. For some reason they seem to want to go to what is familiar versus what is unique. Hive would have to get up to something like $3 again or $5 for me to consider powering down and pulling money out. In any event I wouldn't want to bust my stake too much. The earning potential is just too great.
This is the trade-off that I have often suffered from! When I do sell something significant, I hope it was worth it! :)
Real Trump coin crazy pump today 😃
Sometimes it good for some Memecoins to come up and shake some of these blue-chip Memecoins 😂
Trump coin is trumping hard. Sadly I didn't get a chance to buy any.
Well, I wish that too. I am quite pissed with people becoming millionaires in matter of hours, with the TRUMP memecoin. As many are Trump supporter too. Ouch!
$20 HIVE and I'll wear my moistest panties on #themorningbowl
It is nice to dream I guess.

I have not accumulated enough Hive to sell yet, I guess I will be waiting another 4 years for my chance to sell high :)
The cryptocurrency market is a place open to all kinds of surprises. Anything can happen at any time. Who could have predicted that Trump and Melania tokens would be released? I'm sure most people haven't thought about it.
Hive being $20 doesn't just make you wet your pants. It also gives older users a heart attack. :)
That's not possible/reasonable to me. HIVE and TikTok is totally different. A vlog that has seven-day rewards wouldn't attract them :) Let alone this, TikTok users would certainly ruin HIVE's rules and nature :)
Hive at 20 dollars is a close second.
Can't argue with that!
Hive is so awesome, it's fun to be here. I wish we could better share our experiences here somehow so people would give it a try. I'm sure most people who try out Hive, stick around or at least come back at a later date.
I was late about that when I saw it was 12$ at the beginning.
I think the reason why Hive Blockchain isn't widespread, is perhaps because there isn't a face to the platform. Yes it is decentralized but it needs to people to promote it. Most people are on hive through word of mouth which is slow.
Another thought of mine is if the Blockchain becomes popular and a lot of content are being posted it can lead to the unwanted experience that a lot of people ran away from in other social media.
I’m still so new (only 1 year on the platform) that it would take Hive reaching $20 for me to consider selling. But since I’m 100% stacked, I’d probably miss the opportunity. It’s not a big deal for me, after all, $20,000 won’t make me a millionaire (since I have about 1300 $HIVE). I won’t turn my nose up at that amount, but this platform means much more to me. I’m hooked, and it would take a huge sum for me to leave! :D
at $20 hive I would have to think really hard how much to power down and put in HBD. But that would be a pleasant dilemma.
The more I learn about Hive, and the new short-form platforms like Threads and Snaps, the more time I feel encouraged to sp3nd on here supporting our own content creators.
The only challenge left for me is mastering 3speak from my mobile. I have so many awesome videos of world-class producer/DJs performing at the best clubs in New York City that I want to start uploading to @3speak, but I just can't seem.to get it to work properly through the keychain dapp. Another 2025 project to keep me busy aside from my daily Splinterlands and Actifit posting.
Either one would be good enough for me. I'm not picky!
Yeah I agree with you on the part about Hive having so many possibilities. Everyone has their own path and experience over here in Hive. Some people grind the games, some people love to post, some just enjoy trading tokens, and then most of us are a little bit here and a little bit there.
Lets just hope that Hive would be able to reach $20 at some point
I wish the $20 hive become a reality
